10 things I learned in the last year!

10 things I learned in the last year!

As I celebrate my birthday today, I tried reflecting on everything I have learned in the last year. The last year has been amazing and filled with so many opportunities, adventures, lessons, and friendships. So here are my key learnings from this thing called life:

  1. Don’t worry about what people will say. Do what you want. “Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.” - people will always say something, it’s their job to talk about others.
  2. Make time for the people you love. Life gets so busy and if you’re not careful you’ll start missing out on times with the people you care about.?
  3. The loudest voice isn’t always the most important or the most correct. In my career, I have learned that just because someone is being loud and constantly talking, it doesn’t necessarily make them better or more important than others.
  4. Know your value. In job interviews, in relationships, with friendships. When you know your worth then you ensure you get treated the right way.
  5. Say yes to new things. But also feel comfortable saying no! It’s important to take on new projects and try new adventures but it’s also important to say no when things just don’t fit or feel right.
  6. Take a break. Everything will be right there after your break. So choose to look after yourself.?
  7. Say sorry! There is nothing wrong with saying sorry. So say it and mean it. It’ll be good for you and your relationships.
  8. Travel the world. This world is so beautiful with so many things to see. So go out and see the world even if you have to do it alone.?
  9. What’s meant for you will always come your way. So don’t stress as everything that is for you is coming. Slowly but surely.?
  10. Healing and growing is a journey. You’ll go forwards and backwards and forwards again. Just go through the journey.
  11. Quitting is not failing. Try your best and then quit if you need to. It takes real courage to quit.

I gave you an 11th one because life is full of surprises and unexpected things. Sometimes you get more than you ever expected and other times, you get way less than you anticipated for. But in the end it all works out!
