10 Things I Learned during My First Year in Sales

  1. If you can only bring one thing to the table, bring ENTHUSIASM!
  2. Selling without a scheduled plan is like running on a treadmill. Lots of work with little gain.
  3. Creative market presence beats brainless activity. All day, every day.
  4. Find your ideal client. Who are they? What related and seemingly unrelated problems do they have that you can solve?
  5. Establish an emotional connection between your product/service and their personal life/career.
  6. Take away objections before they object.
  7. WIIFM Mentality - opportunity cost is real!
  8. Unique and purposeful follow ups over "just checking in".
  9. Focus intently on what you are incentivized to sell, but think/act like upper management.
  10. Make sure the company is better off with you, than without you.

If you had three bullet points to share, what would they be? Like, share, or comment!

Your post is insightful! I see why you are so successful! From a buyers perspective, authenticity is important as well as genuine concern for the buyer’s state of being - both of which I know you possess. Thanks for engendering a valuable conversation!?
