1. Humanity
I came from a humble family background. When I was a kid, my parents were working diligently to support the family with 3 kids. Though we were short of finance, we have grown up with unconditional love and care from our parents. I have been experienced so much kindness, love, and support from family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers throughout my life. When you give smiles away, you receive back smiles. The nature of human being is love and equal respect. I have learned from the management expert Patrick Lencioni the best way to interpret humanity: 1) Being humble; 2) Don’t deny your talents, gifts what God created you.
2. Resilience Is The Quality Sets You Apart
When I look back my life, I am grateful for what I’ve been through. I am grateful for the challenges, obstacles, setbacks, roadblocks, it was painful but they made me grow and I learned. Either you breakthrough or breakdown, sometimes we see people who can bounce back very fast, but some people will never come back again. The people who are willing to endure the most suffering for their dreams are the one who are most likely to achieve them. The difference between success and failure in life is a very, very thin line. Winners never quit, and quitters never win. Never give up on the people and things that you love, especially your dreams.
3. Dream Comes True If You Have One
Never in a million years would I have believed that my life would be what it is today. I went through a lot of dark days over the course of my life. It definitely hasn’t been wine and roses for me. I’ve had many failures, heartbreaks, disappointments, setbacks, and tears. I even had opportunities to quit on myself when I was down and out, but I somehow always got back up. Dream big. Do good. Work hard and never give up. And let time evolve.
4. One Is Too Small To Achieve Greatness
I have been the recipient of many blessings in life, especially the phenomenal people in my life. First and foremost, I am full of gratitude to the most amazing parents in the world. Without their love, wisdom, and support, I would be nothing. Thank you to Emily, my friend, my business partner in China. We play together, sleep together, eat together, and work together and support each other’s dream.
I am so thankful to have her as my partner on this amazing journey called CNEW International. Thank you to Marie, Michael for your leadership, friendship, support, advice, prayer and belief.
5. Integrity Is The Foundation of Anything
No one is perfect, but we should always strive to do the right thing with the right intention. Live your life in a way that would make your mom proud. I’m far from perfect (and I made a lot of mistakes and wrong decisions), but I always think about honoring God and my parents in everything I do. Do the right thing even if no one is watching.
6. Karma Works
Good luck blesses good people. Bad luck curses bad people. I’ve seen it over and over throughout my life. Over the course of my career, I have had people lie to me, cheat me, backstab me, deceive me, betray me, and more. It’s easy to become jaded, but I refuse to let these bad apples taint my belief in doing good for the world. Do good in the world. And let karma take care of everything.
7. Live your Purpose/ Be Yourself
My mentor John Maxwell helped me discover my purpose when I was 29. I am so blessed to teach personal development and leadership development every day with some of the greatest human beings on the planet. Teaching and leading are what I love, is who I am. The best thing to do is align me from inside out, and being real.
8. Forgiveness and Letting Go
Forgive others. Forgive yourself. We all make mistakes. I wish that I had learned this lesson in my 20s. I would have forgiven myself for the breakup, and I would have given both of us much peace and love. Let go of negative energy. And always seek the beauty in others. Life works magically, letting go is a way to have more.
9. The Law of Attraction Is Real.
Most people misstate the truth of the law of attraction. You don’t attract what you want, it does not work in that way, but you attract who you are. If you want to be happy, surround yourself with people who are happy and live with gratitude; if you want to be positive, surround yourself with positive people. When you are happy, you attract other happy people. Happiness is contagious.
10. Love Is The Most Powerful Energy In The Universe
Do what you love with people you love. Fill as many hours of each day with love. For me, success has nothing to do with the size of your house, or how many cars you have, or how big your bank account is. Success is doing what you love every day and making a positive impact on the world. If you do what you love and make a difference, money will chase you down. And happiness is the way. At the end of the day, we all die. Nothing remains, except for the impact we make on our loved ones and on the world. Love fearlessly, do good in the world, and everything else will take care of itself.
Here is to an EXTRAORDINARY 2018!!! I will…
Focus on what touches my heart and moves my spirit, as this is how one’s greatest life work can be achieved.
Ask questions and not make assumptions, to learn that life wants to teach me.
Invest my time wisely to receive the greatest return on my time invested.
Thank family and friends frequently, no matter how small their task or gesture.
Honor humility, as the world is not here to serve me, rather I am here to serve the world.
Hope for greater equality for everyone-everyday, everywhere on earth.
Perfect the power of positive thinking and intention for others and myself.
Envision the life I long for and continually focus my energy towards achieving it.
I will live my life with an open mind and open heart…
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!! May your life be filled with peace, love, laughter, and joy in everything you do.
