'I’m curious, what did you do differently?'
I got asked that question about how I'm able to turn more of my LinkedIn connections into clients -?so thought I?would answer it for all of you.?
10 things I did (and do) differently than most people when it comes to marketing on LinkedIn (or anywhere):
1.?I have over 11 years of experience managing content and social media for?corporations and small/mid-sized businesses (7 on LinkedIn).?
2. I understand the social media + algorithms, how they work, and how I can use them to help me (all thanks to the $65,000 University IT degree I have).?
3. I have a plan and a strategy that I implement consistently (I'm not winging it - I'm taking deliberate action).
4.?I show the F up consistently and do ALL the steps every day (not just the 1 or 2 that I feel like doing and skip the rest).
5.?I got to know my ideal client intimately (and I keep learning about them by doing regular market research and TALKING to them).
6.?I built an audience out of those ideal clients (can't sell a thing if you don't have people to sell it to).
7.?I get help (I'm willing to pay someone to teach me the things I don't know or haven't figured out yet - over $35,000 and counting in the last 5 years).
8. I don't expect results to happen if I haven't done the work (no action = no sales).?
9.? I make time for the conversations (yep, I PLAN to talk to people and have an extended conversation).
10.?I treat the people online the same as I would if we met in person (if I won't do it offline, I don't do it or say it online)?

It's not magic. It's not a get rich quick scheme. It didn't happen overnight. It took TIME!?
It took A LOT of trial and error + learning from others to get it. And probably A LOT more time than you think it 'should.'?
But it's also not rocket science!?
Anyone can do it...if you know how.
