10 technologies that will trend in 2024, according to MIT Technology Review
Always up to date with the world of technology, which is our universe, I wanted to bring you some cool content for anyone interested in the subject. MIT Technology Review released the annual list of the main technologies that promise to be highlighted in the world this year, the traditional 10 Breakthrough Technologies. From Artificial Intelligence, through Biotechnology and climate change, to computing, many innovations are expected to shape the world in the coming months (and years).
André Miceli, CEO and editor-in-chief of MIT Technology Review Brazil shared his insights into what he considers most important in this list and I thought it was worth replicating:
1- Exascale supercomputers, like the Frontier, inaugurated a new era in computing, capable of perform over 1 quintillion floating point operations per second. However, they are being surpassed by faster machines in the US (El Capitan and Aurora) and Europe (Jupiter), suggesting significant advances in processing capacity.
2- Exascale Computing is on MIT Technology Review's list of the 10 most innovative technologies in 2024, enabling extraordinary advances in areas like scientific research
3- CRISPR technology, highlighted as the second highlight on the list, offers an important advance in medicine and biotechnology, enabling precise gene editing
4- AI remains one of the most important technologies for 2024, predicted to transform every part of everyday life and business. Advances are expected in multimodal chatbots, video generation, tackling misinformation and the development of multitasking robots.??
So here are the 10 most promising technologies of 2024
