Technical SEO is essentially the process of making a website both user and search engine friendly.
It’s the foundation of your SEO efforts, and I’ve ranked websites on Page 1 of Google solely by making these changes.
So Today I'am Going To Share 10 Technical SEO Tips That will Help You To Increase Your Website Traffic
1. Clear 404s or Broken Links
404s or broken links _both internal and external, literally leak your website's authority. You can’t have that. Use Screaming Frog SEO Spider to find 404s and redirect them to a relevant page.
2. Update Thin Content
Thin content is any page that has less than 300 words and was built to provide value. If your page is less than 300 words, it’s not providing the value it could. Either update the content and make it better, or delete it and redirect the URL.
3. Delete Duplicate Content
If you have two or more pages that basically say the same thing, delete the one that’s not getting traffic and redirect the URL to the other. You don’t need more than a single page about a particular topic.
4. Tag All Pages
Make sure every page on your website has a unique meta title and meta description. Also make sure an H1 tag is present on each page, representing the title.
5. Alt-Tag All Images
Make sure each image on your website has an appropriate alt-tag that describes the image. Alt-tags are how Google ranks images for keywords in their Image search.
6. Restructure Architecture
Make sure child pages are nested no more than three layers deep under relevant parent pages. Any more than that, and they don’t retain as much authority. Also make sure you’re using relevant, keyword-rich internal links to optimize authority flow.
7. Shorten URLs
Make sure all URLs on your website are as short as possible — this mean no numbers, just words and hyphens. Ideally, the permalink is just the keyword the page is targeting.
8. Improve Site Speed
Use Google’s site speed tool and determine the mobile and desktop loading speed. If it’s over 3 seconds, you need to speed it up using caching, finding a better host and reducing large image files.
9. Submit an XML Sitemap
An XML sitemap is literally a map of your website that Google can use to find your pages. Sign up for Google Webmaster Tools and submit your XML sitemap which can be found at https://www.website.com/sitemap.xml .
10. Audit Robots.txt File
Go into your website’s backend and check the robots.txt file to make sure important pages aren’t Disallowed. Pages or URL structures that are disallowed will not be indexed in Google.
And that’s it! Make these changes to your website before you start publishing content and backlinking, and it’ll be well-optimized for search engines and users.
