10 tech companies employees want to work for

HIRING: In the face of economic uncertainty, tech talent is on the hunt for bigger and better career opportunities. But where are they looking? To track and better understand where tech talent is headed, Smallpdf recently analyzed how many people are seeking out career opportunities at some of the biggest tech companies in the U.S., based on monthly Google searches.?

The words 'Google jobs' and 'Google careers' received more than 339,000 and 148,000 searches a month in 2022, respectively, implying that 谷歌 is perhaps the most sought-after employer in the tech space; 苹果 , which takes the second spot on the top 10, lagged behind by nearly half.?

WORKING PARENTS: As working parents juggle their own work schedules, back-to-school duties and other child care challenges, their employers have left them feeling cold. "Parents are really in need of help — during the pandemic, they had a lot of tough challenges, but those are still persistent," says Andrew Monroe , director of experienced talent research at Veris Insights . DEI: Corporations listed on the U.S. stock exchange will now be required to disclose the ethnic and gender makeup of their boards. If the corporation does not have at least two diverse members on its board, it must submit an explanation as to why. While the Securities and Exchange did approve of Nasdaq 's latest requirement, it does not plan to encourage diversity beyond the two-member rule — which means there is no guarantee that this will encourage diversity in corporate America.

"It's an effort to put a pillar of diversity, equity and inclusion into practice, but there's no structural or substantial change," says Jeffrey Bowman, co-founder and CEO of Reframe, a DEI management platform. "This rule is them admitting the boardroom has been a predominantly segregated place of work, which is disturbing in itself."
