10 Social Media Own-Goals
The latest instalment of my series on 'How to Ruin Your Business', written with Nasser of Business Pulse, features ten things you should not be doing on social media. Thankfully, 'posting lists of 10 things not do do' hasn't made the list.
- Making out you can do something when the reality is you can’t.
- Bad-mouthing your competition.
- Posting a “cringeworthy” photo.
- Posting a photo of someone else without permission; even worse – doctoring the photo.
- Stealing someone else’s material and branding it as your own.
- Posting something that you think is funny but other people find distasteful.
- Creating content across different platforms which gives an inconsistent look to your personal brand.
- Posting something you were told in confidence.
- Picking a fight with a complete stranger.
- Using foul and abusive language.
