10 Personal Lessons for Launching a company website
A website is a critical component of your personal branding. Not only the website is critical for your career/business profit, it brings trust and confidence in your personal branding.
Either you are a student, a professional, an entrepreneur, how you communicate your personal branding offline is critical, especially in the current digital times.
The Career Fulfilment Equation that I keep repeating it to my mentees and clients is:
Career Fulfilment Equation = (1) Performance + (2) Build & Communicate your Brand + (3) Negotiate your Personal Brand.
For the first time in my life, I launched my company website this time last year...
What a journey it's been ever since..
They say it's wise to outsource the work where you lack expertise.
Which I did.
I decided to outsource my company website to a web developer.
So many learnings in creating the website. Way too many ??
The learnings were very painful in terms of money and time spent.
The many times of chasing, the deception of feeling ripped off for the maintenance work. The long delays, the miscommunication, the poor customer service when my website was down, the ridiculous fees.
So this summer, when the website went down, I took the opportunity to relaunch my website with a new web developer.
A total makeover!
I was advised to build the website from scratch instead of spending time to repair the old one.
The benefits of making a new one were many: we incorporated the technical learnings from the previous website as well as the business learnings.
Today, I'm super proud to announce the results of a hard team work reflected now in the new Green Apples Career website.
?? We are even more transparent on the website with what our mentoring services deliver for Organisations and Individuals.
?? The website is more user friendly, simpler as less is more!
?? We are more effective and efficient with our time and our clients time so, we now have Calendly virtual availability and booking of 30 minutes exploratory calls.
