Our music industry was well represented at the Folk Alliance International . An all-Quebec evening and several performers made Quebec shine. The event, which took place from February 21 to 25 in Kansas City, Missouri. It will be held in Montreal next year. Folk Alliance International is the world's largest gathering of the folk music industry and community.
A 100% Quebec evening
With support from the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec (MCC) , Quebec was a sponsor of the Folk Alliance International conference. On Saturday, February 24, a Quebec-themed evening was organized by the Délégation du Québec à Chicago, Folquébec and Mundial Montréal . Kerith Iverson, Public and Government Affairs Attaché at the Délégation du Québec in Chicago, was on hand. Quebec was able to secure a promotional booth, print advertising and two speaking engagements.

Other Quebec artists performing at the festival included Mia Kelly, Naxx Bitota, Jorane, David Laflèche, Ray Bonneville, and Connie Kaldor.
According to the artists and their agents, the evening was a resounding success. "A number of promoters approached us about programming shows with Quebec artists in the U.S.," says Kerith Iverson.
Ready for Montréal 2025?
This impressive Quebec delegation also paved the way for next year's Folk Alliance International conference. Taking place in Montreal next February, this major event will welcome thousands of music industry professionals to the metropolis. "Everyone is looking forward to Montreal. Our artists have generated a lot of buzz," exclaims Kerith Iverson!
