#10 - Passion

Houston, Texas, June 2016. It was a mesmerizing setting, in thisfunctional but not very stylish stadium; a kettle that was filled with more than 70,000 spectators with high expectations, some noise but actually more like vibrant in a silent underlying manner. I had the opportunity to see a professional artist to perform in his work outfit with his typical number on the back.

The ecstatic moment (for some) came in full explosion after 32 minutes in to the act. The preparations. Kneeling right at the tool, the ball, lacing his shoes, like a ritual. Full concentration, full focus. Getting ready. Not being distracted by opponents close by. Taking the few steps backwards. Stand still. Aiming and finalizing a thought to become an action. Anticipation and fear in the crowd, some cheers but I sensed some nervous silence around. Then the quick steps to the ball, getting it with perfection over the human white wall, curling away to the upper corner just above the keeper's giant gloves and slightly underneath the crossbar in the corner. Surgical precision. An extraordinary accomplishment. Passion made to perfection with the professional at work. At least half a stadium in explosion. An unbelievable moment. A result of all hard work, patience, grit, passion, joy - everything melted into one action.

I believe that whatever passion and talent you carry, everyone can reach the golden moment of perfection, of success, the ultimate joy. You need to believe in it, in yourself, you need to show your engagement, you need to put in an effort, every day to get there. But it is possible to achieve. Suddenly without perhaps knowing it, you have the opportunity that will require your full senses, focus and attention. Reaching perfection. You can make it!
