10 musts for a good drone show
Nobody wants their drone show to be bad. But sometimes it happens. In order to avoid sad feelings after the drones are landed, keep an eye on these tips when arranging a drone show
1. Pick the right spot
The location is really important. Make sure it's big enough for the drones and looks nice. Shows in a beautiful location look better than shows in a desert. And if you need a drone show for promoting your product, choose a crowded area, so the show will be seen by as many people as possible. Also, the launching site needs to be flat so the drones can take off and land safely.
2. Timing is key
Think about the time of day and lighting. The show will only be visible when it's dark out. So you can't have a drone show at sunset or during midnight civil twilight.
3. Keep an eye on the weather
Make sure the weather is good for flying. Avoid high winds, rain or snow. Also, the temperature should be just right. You can find out more about this on my post:
4. Make it interesting
Come up with a cool concept or story for your show. Get creative with the programming, lighting and music to make it memorable. Simple logos or words impress people way less than fantastic creatures or cool abstract animations. Think about combining your commercial and interesting visuals so the show could go viral. We at Lumasky Drone Show have huge experience at making viral shows.
5. Get a good director
Having a talented director on your team can make a big difference. They can bring your concept to life and make sure it looks amazing. A good director can help you combine music, lasers, mapping and other forms of media entertainment into a complex show. 6. A drone show team should have talented designers
Designers will create the intricate patterns and movements that make drone shows so cool. Look for people who have experience with visual effects and programming. Also, good designers are artists, who understand the anatomy of people and animals — it’s important, otherwise you risk having a horse that looks like a dog in your show. A team should have experience with all aspects of drone flight, programming, and animation. This will help things run smoothly and safely.
7. Safety first
Safety is super important. Make sure a team you hired follows all the rules and has plans in place just in case anything goes wrong. Professional team will never have drones flying over people, animals or cars to avoid damage or injury. It is necessary that the show has insurance in case of damage to someone else's property so all the possible damage is compensated.
8. Make it go viral
Social media can be a great way to promote your show. Try to create a moment that people will want to share and talk about. Invite as many people as you can to see your drone show to make sure it goes viral. Our top watched videos get dozens of millions of views.
9. Use reliable equipment
Last but not least, make sure drones and equipment are in good shape. This will help prevent any technical issues and keep the show running smoothly. Ideally your drone show provider should produce their drones themselves — that way you can be sure that software is up to date and all mistakes are fixed on the spot.?
10. Enjoy the show
Hire the professional team, relax and enjoy the show :)?
