10 lessons learnt from Coronavirus

They say crisis brings out the best and worst in humanity. It is in these extreme situations when we show our true colours. And in some cultures, it also means an opportunity to start all over and prepare for a better future.
Here are my 10 lessons learnt from Coronavirus so far:
1. Countries in Western Europe should be proud of their awesome great public healthcare systems.
2. Professionals that we usually value the least are the most essential.
3. We are appreciating the small joys of life that we miss when deprived of freedom.
4. Human contact and interaction is really key to our daily life.
5. Remote work and work-life balance are possible, even if businesses are learning this by force.
6. Do things for the benefit of the community, not just yourself. You might be the one needing help tomorrow.
7. We can enjoy again some activities we never have time for.
8. We are learning to slow down and see the real important things in life, like making sure our loved ones are safe.
9. United we stand, divided we fall. We are a better society when we act together.
10. Some rewards can only be obtained after going through tough times. We need to be patient.
How about you, what lesson have you learned?

4 年Thank you Sara! All inspiring words, with my favorite being #7: We can enjoy again some activities we never have time for. For me m, the activity is connecting (virtually) with all my friends and colleagues around the world to just say hi, share a joke and make sure they are well. And as a result, I have time to reflect on WHY it takes a global situation like this for me to find the time to do something that is so rewarding to me personally, interactions for laughter & happiness. ?? #coronaVirus #socialdistancing

4 年Lovely sentiment Sara, the expression of love, gratitude and kindness is the only thing that is going to get people through this. The next couple of weeks are critical #stayathome?if you are blessed enough to be able too.
