Ok, maybe not 1-entire-hour-every-single-day, but finish reading, you ‘ll see for yourself. ??
But did you know you can also add some great (and very useful!)?search engine shortcuts?? ??
Here’s a nonexhaustive list of my favorites !
Who am I to give you any lesson on how to use Google Chrome, would you ask ?
Ok, fair enough.
Quick presentation then : my name is Pierre-Arnaud, i'm 28, and i'm a Sales Executive at SoCloz. I've been working for almost?5 years?now in?various industries?(pharmaceutical, aviation, chatbot, retail, omnichannel), with?differents economic models?(service, Saas). Nothing too greedy.
I am nothing of a super-hero ??, but just a humble sales-person sharing good (nerd) practices. ??
And these shortcuts were useful?from day 1.
Where do I set-up my search engines ?
Dumb answer : in your Chrome settings ? ??
Go to :?Settings > Search Engines > Manage Search Engines
You should see a list like this :
Here’s where the?magic?kicks in.
You can add an additional Search Engine to the list, defining a?quick shortcut?to type in your browser, and then just simply hit?space?to access the search engine?directly in the URL.
To do so, click “Add” :
Then, fill in the information required :
All of the URL are detailed below ??
And enjoy the power of these shortcuts :
Here I hit “s” + space to access a specific account in my SalesForce accounts
Why use these shortcuts ? Simply because you no longer need to access the page before typing your research.
Your turn now.
Professional search engines :
Let’s start with the professional ones, as you mostly want to gain time in your daily job routine. You never really count your personal time, whereas you do so at work — for most of us.
CRM :
Depending on your company CRM, the part where you gain most of the time is in the CRM searches.
LinkedIn :
You can add various shortcuts to LinkedIn such as :
iCloud / Drive / OneDrive :
To access anything in your Cloud-stored data/files :
Maps :
To search for an address :
领英推荐
Translate :
Bored of willing to translate a file ? Use the only translator !
Emojis :
Do you like using emojis in your articles / posts / texts ? Here’s how.
Press release :
You wanna look for an article or a specific theme ?
Images :
To access quick free images
Personal search engines :
Obviously, when you’ve started adding business shortcuts to your professional Google Chrome Session, what do you think happens when you get home to your?personal Google Chrome Session??
You do?the same.
So here my favorite ones :
You want to look for something, someone, a page or a group on Facebook ?
Amazon
You want to buy something on Amazon ?
YouTube
You want to watch a video ?
SoundCloud
You listen to music here ?
Instagram ?
Sorry to disapoint you guys, I couldn’t find a way to add that one.
I think it’s still very ment to be used in your smartphone, not on a browser.
So what ?
Here’s what it looks like in the end :
And you can add many more !
Enjoy !
PS :?You can also clean your Default Search Engines list with your favorite one. And?no, Google doesn’t have to be your default one.
Thanks !

4 年Even though I use the search engines shortcuts already, reading your article just gave me SO many ideas! Google translate will be an awesome saver given the fact that it detects the language of your search and switch the input language accordingly so no need to change it anymore!! Thanks!
