Myth: AI will replace all human workers. Reality: While AI excels at automating certain tasks, it is unlikely to entirely replace human workers in most industries. Instead, AI will likely augment human capabilities, creating new job roles and opportunities for Malaysians to upskill and adapt to these changes. Myth: Generative AI is sentient or conscious. Reality: Despite the impressive human-like outputs of generative AI, these systems do not possess their own thoughts, feelings or true consciousness. They are highly sophisticated tools that rely on the data and programming provided by their human creators. Myth: Generative AI needs minimal human oversight. Reality: Responsible use of AI requires vigilant human oversight to ensure quality, safety and ethical considerations. Malaysian businesses must be diligent in implementing appropriate governance frameworks to mitigate the risks of biased or nonsensical AI outputs.
