10 Game Changing Lessons For Success

10 Game Changing Lessons For Success

Let us know which of the 10 YOU agree with most!

1.????? Skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been

Too often I see so many owners spending more time working “in” their business rather than “on” their business.

·?????? Focus on the future to help you stay ahead of the curve and gain a competitive advantage. Get ahead of the game and prepared for future developments.

·?????? Be proactive rather than reactive. This includes foresight and planning, whether in sports, business, or any other field.

·?????? Embrace technology. It’s a revolving door and whether you like it or not, artificial intelligence is here to stay so embrace it and use it to scale you and your business to new heights.

2. ?? Never be the smartest person in the room

If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. It’s that simply. It’s about having the courage to have humility and inspire growth in yourself and others. In contrast, being in a room with people who know more can inspire you to elevate your own understanding and abilities.

·?????? Always seek out environments where you are surrounded by people who are more knowledgeable, skilled, or experienced than you where you can learn from them, challenge yourself, and continually improve.

·?????? Consistently push yourself to grow or learn as much as you can by emphasizing the value of collaboration and the importance of being open to new ideas and perspectives.

3.??Get comfortable at being uncomfortable

Many personal and professional growth opportunities lie beyond our comfort zones. Facing discomfort can lead to significant self-improvement and learning. Successfully navigating uncomfortable situations boosts confidence.

·?????? Confront uncomfortable situations regularly. You build resilience and reduce the fear of the unknown, which can empower you to tackle bigger challenges.

·?????? Develop a mindset that accepts and learns from discomfort as it prepares you for resilience, making it easier to bounce back from disappointments.

·?????? Next time your tasks with a challenge, take a deep breath, use 5 seconds of guts, tell yourself “I got this!”

4.??Don’t accept your life, instead, lead your life with intention
      ** my personal favorite ??

If you really want to be transformed, you must live an intentional life. Most people don’t lead their life, they accept their life. When you accept your life, you are living on things that are not worthy of your time, effort and energy. To go uphill you have to be intentional. No one ever walks uphill by accident. There is no book written on accidental achievements. How you think and how you feel creates your state of being. You have a choice – you can either be defined by a vision of the future or defined by a memory of the past. Most people live in lack their entire life, waiting for something to happen to them.

·?????? Don’t wait.

·?????? Lead with intention.

·?????? The best way to predict your future is to create it.

5. Train well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to

By training employees thoroughly, you equip them with skills and knowledge that not only benefit their current role but also make them more marketable. When employees feel appreciated, supported, and fairly compensated, they’re more likely to stay with the organization despite opportunities elsewhere.?

·?????? Give your employees the tools they need by investing in their professional growth. It will increase their loyalty to the company and organization.

·?????? Treat employees well. It will foster a positive workplace culture and job satisfaction.

6.?? Nothing kills a good employee faster than ?? watching you tolerate a bad one

This statement highlights a crucial aspect of effective leadership and team dynamics. Did you know that a toxic work culture is 10x more important than pay when predicting turnover? Well, it is! And a negative work environment can emerge if poor performance or behavior is ignored.

·?????? Simply put – don’t’ ignore poor performance. This can lead to a toxic atmosphere that good employees will want to avoid.

·?????? Address performance issues and maintaining high standards to ensures that all employees are held accountable. This will help in retaining top talent, fostering a positive work environment, and driving overall team success.

7.????? Track the behavior not the outcome and turn your behavior into habits

Consider this the secret sauce to achieving long-term success. By monitoring the behaviors that lead to desired outcomes, you can identify what works and what doesn’t. Once you know what works, consistency is key. Instead of concentrating solely on the end result (e.g., losing a specific amount of weight or earning a certain amount of money), pay attention to the daily actions and behaviors that contribute to those outcomes.

·?????? To make behaviors into habits, you need to be performing them consistently. Never do something only once because you aren’t seeing immediate results or change.

·?????? Start with small, manageable changes and gradually build up to more challenging behaviors.

·?????? Focus on the behaviors that lead to desired outcomes and embed these behaviors into your daily routine. Only then, will you build a foundation for lasting change and improvement.

8.???Worrying is like a rocking ?? it gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere

Worrying occupies our minds and can be a distraction, but it doesn’t lead to tangible progress or solutions. It consumes our mental and emotional energy that could be better spent on problem-solving or taking action.

·?????? Recognize when you’re worrying and try to shift focus to practical steps you can take to address the root of your concerns.

·?????? Channel your energy into actionable steps rather than unproductive worry, you’re more likely to make real progress and find solutions to the issues you’re facing.

9.?????? Stop searching for the purple unicorn ??

Abandon the quest for an ideal or impossible scenario that doesn’t exist. Searching for an ideal scenario can lead to analysis paralysis, where you’re stuck in the planning or waiting phase without making progress.

·?????? Rather than waiting for the perfect opportunity or the perfect conditions, work towards realistic and attainable objectives and focus on achievable goals and solutions.

·?????? Understand that imperfections are part of life and that striving for a perfect outcome can lead to stagnation or dissatisfaction.

·?????? Embrace action and iteration by investing in practical and achievable goals rather than chasing an unrealistic ideal can lead to better outcomes and greater satisfaction.

·?????? Recognize and celebrate the progress you make, even if it doesn’t match the original ideal you had in mind!

10.???You can always make more ?? but you can’t get back ?

Time, once spent, cannot be recovered. It’s irreversible. Each moment that passes is gone forever, making it a precious and finite resource.

·?????? Choose how to effectively spend your time. It can significantly affect your life’s quality

and direction, including relationships, personal growth, and overall well-being.

·?????? Reflect on the kind of legacy you want to leave and the experiences you want to have. So much of life happens when we’re able to put down our phone and just be present. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, choose to be all there.
