Hello. My name is Valerie Catt Joglar (Val Catt on LinkedIn) and here are 10 Fun Facts About My Courses:
I am a health psychologist and certified master health coach. My courses have the stamp of approval from the NCOei Advisory Board of Licensed and Certified Physical and Mental Health Professionals. The ultimate goal of my courses and coaching is to help you master your emotional intelligence (EQ)! Currently, my education programs for defendants and juveniles are being used by U.S. court systems all around the country, and I have received great reviews from students.
Currently, I have created the only online Decision Making/Impulse Control Course in the Nation—I Googled it. I am the director of the NCOei English language education department. I specialize in domestic violence victim/survivor impact education, including healthy relationship coaching and parenting education. All NCOei online courses are available in English and in full Spanish language with new videos, presentations, and educational websites.
My English language courses and programs contain emotional intelligence (EQ) based question/answer/feedback sessions (in a no-fail format). The questioning process is designed to present the student with scenarios in which emotionally intelligent options must be selected. This creates cognitive dissonance between the current practiced behavior and the emotionally intelligent behavior that is being self-validated through the testing process by the student. Studies show that attitudes and behaviors are modified through this process.
New sections have been added to the 2018 NCOei courses and programs, including:
Life Skills: Emotional Intelligence Training
Understanding the Conscious and Sub-conscious Mind
Developing Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence, and Worthiness
Learning How to Practice Mindfulness and Meditation
How to Develop a Successful—Yet Simple—Life Plan
Probation officers/case workers can monitor the student’s progress online. For example, the student can enroll online with the acting probation officer and use a valid email during enrollment which will be the student's username. The student can set an easy password like: abcd1234 and using these login details, acting probation officer will have access to the student's course progress including proof of of enrollment, course completion certificate, and course completion report, as well as have access to the student’s emotional intelligence final exam results.
I offer my courses for free to families and homeless teens who are struggling financially in our court systems to help them meet their education requirements. Contact me today if your court or department could benefit from this valuable program: [email protected] and I will issue your entity a coupon code certificate that your agents can use to give financially struggling students free courses and discounted programs (the counseling/coaching fees cannot be waived as it is a separate service and is paid directly to the coach or counselor).
To use the coupon code:
*The case worker first determines financial need.
*The case worker gives the code to the student.
*The student accesses our website at NCOei.Thinkific.com, clicks BUY, then clicks the box that states: “I have a coupon code,” and enrolls. It really is that simple.
These are my most popular courses: Anger Management, Bullying, Decision Making/Impulse Control, Shoplifting/Theft Prevention, HIV/AIDS, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence Prevention, Bullying, Hands-Free Law, and NSF Theft by Check Healthy Finances. I have three free 1-hour courses available at NCOei.Thinkific.com: Domestic Violence Victim/Survivor Impact Education, DWI Victims Impact Panel, and Animal Abuse Prevention.
