10 Entrepreneur Quotes To Spark Motivation and Success

10 Entrepreneur Quotes To Spark Motivation and Success

Being an entrepreneur isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It takes years of hard work, sleepless nights, continuous setbacks, and endless rejections to become an overnight success.

There will be highs and there will be lows too. While the highs can take you to the top of the world whereas the lows can hit you real hard sometimes. If you’re running low on motivation, here are my favorite motivational quotes for entrepreneurs to keep going when the going gets tough.

Here we go:

#1. “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” - Walt Disney

What it means: If your dream is to start a business or do something you strongly believe in, chase it fearlessly. Remember that courage differentiates a great entrepreneur from a good one.

#2. “Don’t worry about being successful but work toward being significant and success will naturally follow.” - Oprah Winfrey

What it means: Take a look at some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs - Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Jack Ma, Jeff Bezos. They intended to add value and bring a positive change that made them successful not something else.

#3. “No matter how brilliant your mind or strategy, if you’re playing a solo game, you’ll always lose out to a team” – Reid Hoffman, (LinkedIn Co-founder)

What it means: You need others to succeed. It’s hard and tiring for a person to run a business single-handedly. You don’t have to do everything on your own when you can hire smart individuals or even outsource work.

#4. “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent. It is the one most responsive to change” – Charles Darwin

What it means: Markets change. Trends change. Business models evolve. And so do the consumers. If something was successful five years ago. It might not be relevant today. Don’t hesitate to change with the times. Introduce and implement new changes. Always be receptive to change.

For example, it wasn’t important for businesses to have their mobile apps a few years ago, but it is essential nowadays to attract more customers and boost digital presence.

#5. “You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile.” - Brian Tracy

What it means: Not everyone will see the amount of hard work you’ve been putting into your dream venture. Frankly, they don’t even need to know about it. But you must continue working your butt off until they see your name on the billboards.

#6. "You have to see failure as the beginning and the middle, but never entertain it as an end." - Jessica Herrin, founder, and CEO of Stella & Dot

What it means: Failure is an inevitable part of an entrepreneur’s life. You’re not going to succeed always. Sometimes things won’t work out as anticipated. Does it mean you should leave everything and sit back at home? Hell NO!

#7. “If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dream.” - Les Brown

What it means: You have to have the hunger to be the best and go to any extent to make your dream happen. Be accountable and take responsibility for yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.

#8. “One of the greatest skills of leadership is being unflappable. Anytime you do anything in the world; there’s going to be criticism.” - Arianna Huffington

What it means: People will not always say nice things about you and your business. People might go a little too harsh with their criticism, never take it your heart. One day there will be bouquets and on other days, you could get brickbats too. Learn to accept both gracefully.

#9. “No matter how many customers you have, each is an individual. The day you start thinking of them as this amorphous ‘collection’ and stop thinking of them as people is the day you start going out of business.” - Dharmesh Shah

What it means: The best thing you can do for your users is to know what they want and what your company does the best, then focus on where these two meets. Don’t forget to combine it with world-class customer service.

#10. “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re right.” - Henry Ford

What it means: It’s all about believing in yourself. Your self-belief and conviction go a long way to determine your success. You can achieve anything in life by just thinking you can. Be careful, the opposite also holds true for the same.

Thanks for sharing these bursts of inspiration Ojus Sharma. All of these quotes resonate with me on some level. The one that stands out for me the most: “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent. It is the one most responsive to change” – Charles Darwin At a time when a dangerous virus has turned our entire world upside down, we must all be responsive to change, in some way.
