10 Easy Ways for Busy Professionals to Lose Weight Fast Without Dieting or Spending Hours at the Gym

You're days are packed with long hours, meetings, and barely any time to breathe. Maybe you've let your health and fitness slide a bit as you're grinding in your business and trying to get to the next level.

I’m about to tell you today all the secrets of losing weight fast. But first, I want to talk about the most important piece of weight loss. Calorie deficit. 

In order for any of the things I’m about to share with you today to actually work, you MUST be in a calorie deficit overall. Calorie deficit simply means, burning more calories per day than you’re consuming. This doesn’t mean that you want to starve yourself or start working out for hours a day, nor can you do this as a busy entrepreneur. This is where coaching can be beneficial. 

These 10 things to help you lose weight fast will help you create a calorie deficit almost effortlessly, but more importantly, allow you to keep it off long term so you can focus more on your professional career as well as making your health and fitness a priority.

You ready? Here’s the list of 10 Easy Ways to Lose Weight Fast that you can implement today without dieting or spending hours in the gym.

  1. Walk 10 K Steps Per day-There’s this new revolutionary method to burn more calories throughout the day, and it might even help with pain, increase your energy, and keep you out of a wheelchair when you’re 75. What is this new and exciting “secret”?? Walking, moving more. Less sitting around. Grab a Fit Bit or step tracker for a few weeks and you’ll see dramatically how little you’re actually moving.

 

2. Eat veggies-I don’t care what new magic diet you’re doing, more than likely eating more veggies will be a common theme. There’s a method behind that madness. You should definitely eat more veggies because well, health benefits. You’ll also notice by replacing your current standard American diet that’s full of high processed, high calorie foods with veggies, you’re automatically going to eat less and be MORE full and then magic! Weight loss..

 

3. Eat mainly unprocessed foods-Pretty self explanatory, but eat more high volume foods to keep you more full and less of things that come in a package. 

 

4. Eat a little junk to stay sane-I know I know, after I just said to eat more unprocessed foods, I’m now telling you to eat junk, but here’s the deal. Stop trying to be so restrictive and give up everything you love. I promise, you can still go out to dinner with clients, have a social life drink wine, eat a piece of pizza, have burger and fries and still lose fat and attain your goals.

 

5. Weight train or workout moderately hard for 30-60 minutes 3x per week: Strength training is going to ultimately increase your metabolism because you have more muscle on your body, burn more calories throughout the day, and make you look good naked. Results don’t have to come from hours in the gym nor is it necessary. 

 

6. Get your sleep-Most UNDERRATED component to weight/fat loss. Getting quality sleep is CRUCIAL both as a business professional and as someone trying to stay on top of their health. You’ll see WAY more progress, improved energy, and overall happiness. A solid 7-8 hours average is my recommendation and has been shown to be the sweet spot for most people. 

 

7. Keep your environment trigger free-Meaning…If you know you are going to eat an entire box of chocolate chip cookies, DON”T HAVE THEM AROUND. Out of sight out of mind.

 

8. Eat more protein-A million benefits to protein, just get more in because I know you don’t:) Not only will protein keep you more full, it helps preserve muscle and create a better body composition, meaning you'll look more fit.

 

9. Goal weight x 10-11-This is a STARTING point for calories if you want to lose lose weight. Track your food (Seriously track your food) for a couple weeks, be honest about it and then go from there. You don’t have to track forever, but it’s imperative that you learn how. You don’t have to track calories to lose weight, but calories always count. It’s an amazing skill to be able to understand how to track and will pay off HIGHLY in the long run when you’re trying to hit your physique goals or lose weight. 

10. Hire a coach-I know one that can help you.  Having someone teach you and educate you and give you the skills to be able to get life long results is priceless. The accountability is extremely important and usually the missing piece. This will actually get you results the quickest because you have someone to help you actually carry out everything I’ve mentioned above, as well as making the whole process so much easier. Just like I do to help my online clients. As a busy professional, hiring a coach to take the thinking out of your nutrition and training is a bonus so you have more time to concentrate on your business!
