10 Days of Silence
Today I leave for 10 days of Vipassana Meditation, it’s the third time I'm going. I recommend Vipassana to everyone, I believe it will help anyone in any situation. Vipassana is free and open for all, anyone can participate and its available all over the world.
What Vipassana is:
- It is a technique that will eradicate suffering.
- It is a method of mental purification which allows one to face life's tensions and problems in a calm, balanced way.
- It is an art of living that one can use to make positive contributions to society.
Vipassana is a secure environment tha guides you to push yourself furter and challenge your comfort zone. 10 days of silence can be scary, acknowledge that fear and harness your inner courage by signing up to try something difficult and different. Dont let fear stop you from your potential.
Believe in yourself. Vipassana grows confidence in your abilities
Doing something that scares or challenges us often helps us grow. Discomfort isn’t something to be avoided, I recommend you to see how comfortable you can get being discomfort. Especially if it is experienced in a healthy and aware way.
10 Days to free yourself from your inner chatter, You are slave under your BELIEFS.
What are your inner beliefs? Are you aware of them? Have you chosen them? When it becomes totally silent which rarely happens in your everyday life your inner voice becomes much loader. Your inner beliefs becomes much more clear and louder. With 10 days of focusing your mind and not really interacting with others, it’s no surprise that the stream of constant thoughts we experience every second of every day, starts to slow down. True calm and peace appears instead. Your inner beliefs are now in front of you, this is what drives you and what is maybe holding you back. But now you have a chance to change them and yourself.
Your biggest oponent of your own potential is your inner voice, 10 days to focus on yourself and your inner voice. Get control and change the innor voice to be positive stronger and drive you to want to you want.
We all get times when we feel lost, confused or down – and often our families and friends bear the brunt of this. Having an extended period of time in your own isolated world can, you will be free to change and determine new believes.
Grateful and with patience
The biggest challenge of generation 2000 and forward, born and raised in a world where everything is available and with raised with instant reward there is no room for GRATEFULNESS and PATIENCE. Its no such thing as over night success. The most successful people are the best in there are because the spent the most time training/study and failed the most time before they become the best. The best are always challenge themselves to become better. The best had the patience to endure throw all training to become the best. The best people are always grateful, listen to sport star when they receive price they always thank the people help them reach the top.
Vipassana help you become more grateful and have better patience. After all, there’s nothing quite like getting away from it all to develop in us a deep sense of appreciation for all we have. You have a lot of time in 10 days of silence to think about what you are “missing out on” in the real world and therefore how fortunate you really are. 10 days of silence gives you a new perspective on what a beautiful world it can be and just how lucky you are. Coming out of silence you repeatedly feel a renewed sense of gratitude for life in general.
A lot of us are afraid of failing
One of the most common reason why people DON’T do what they want is because their belief system tells them they are going to fail. The people who succeed is the one who persevere true failure. Failure is nothing to fear!
Failing your way to success:
1. Fail Early (I accept failure but I don’t accept not trying)
2. Fail Often (If things aren’t failing, you aren’t innovating enough)
3. Fail forward (I never fail I only learn or succeed)
4. Get comfortable failing (Outside you comforts zone is where the magic is happening)
I believe our world would be a better place with more people exercising Vipassana
Specially people living the west world would benefit from Vipassana, if I would be in charge I would make it mandatory to start practicing Vipassana in school. Our world don’t need more information, we need more compassion.
