10 Days Program to become a greater Manager and Leader

With Managers and Leaders signing up for the “LEADER, a Legend in the Making” Program I offer, I would like to bring more awareness about the challenges we face in workplaces and why they cannot be ignored. ?

Let me set the stage here by bringing statistics:

  • According to a survey conducted by The Ken Blanchard Companies, 60% of new managers underperform or fail within their first two years on the job.
  • A study by Harvard Business Review found that 87% of managers wished they had received more training before they started managing others.
  • A survey by CareerBuilder found that 58% of managers said they didn't receive any management training, and 56% said they felt unprepared for their new role.

These are only some of the many other studies that highlight the challenge.

In the current post-pandemic times of high inflation, cash flow constraints, large-scale redundancies, great resignation wave, poor well-being, and burnout, to name a few – are our people managers prepared and equipped to manage and lead their teams effectively?

  • To deliver expected performance?
  • To engage people?
  • To develop and retain talent?

Most of the time, the answer is NO! They are not prepared!

And they are not supported as well!

This negatively impacts them personally and professionally, the team, and the company as a whole in the short and longer term. ?

I would like to offer 10 live and online sessions to:

·??????Those who are considering becoming people managers or are about to become managers. ?

·??????Newly appointed people managers.

·??????Experienced people managers who would like to build a solid foundation for managing and leading the team effectively.

Each of the sessions will:

·??????Be a maximum of 30 mins long.

·??????Consist of a piece of knowledge, coaching questions, reflection and 1 or 2 questions from the participants, which I will answer.

·??????Be packed with good vibes supporting and caring atmosphere.

·??????Forward-looking.

·??????Practical. ?

Program Topics*:

  1. The role and responsibilities of a Manager. (Let’s have a look into it before you decide to follow this career path).
  2. Preparing a Professional Development Plan. (You are at point “A” (individual contributor), and you aspire to develop your skills to reach point “B” (people manager) – let’s prepare your development plan for that journey).
  3. The art of becoming an authentic leader.
  4. Stages of team development and the role a manager plays in them.
  5. Building a high-performing team.
  6. Providing effective and development feedback.
  7. Resolving conflict.
  8. Delivering Coaching Conversations.
  9. Building Psychological Safety.
  10. Communicating redundancy. ??

*Topics’ wording may change slightly as events start to be created.

Why do I do it?

·??????Because I deeply care about creating healthy workplaces, developing people managers, and emerging leaders. They directly impact team engagement, performance, and development – we need to look after them!
