Take part in the fifth annual “Queer” Asia Film Festival (QAFF) of 2022 which invites you to reflexively, critically, and creatively explore the theme of “survival” in our uncertain times.
Programmes include;
?'home reinvented: 'radical communities/belonging' - A selection of films that strive to create an alternative ‘queer’ home, inclusive and welcoming to all those who need it.
'old/young forbidden years' - This selection invites you to imagine what lies beyond these narrow and exclusionary boundaries by screening the lives of queer people, who are rendered invisible in mainstream culture due to their age.
UK Premiere of ?Jamie Chi's ‘Safe Distance' - Jamie’s film explores queer Chinese individuals’ lived experiences and narratives in the UK, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
'Queer human [?] - bodies in flux' - This selection urges the viewers to look at the queer body anew. Is there even a body? And, is it human?

Hidayah, a Queer Muslim charity supporting queer Muslims in the UK, the US and across the world, presents their Virtual Book Club. This is a place for LGBTQ+ Muslims and allies to read, discuss books and socialise. They have partnered with an independent queer bookshop - The Bookish Type. The bookstore (online and retail), has kindly provided a 20% discount for any Hidayah Book Club Members buying books they cover.

This is a panel event with guest speakers from the University of Warsaw as well as Polish LGBT+ activists based in London.
This event is in collaboration with Rainbow After Rain Foundation which provides mental health support for LGBTQIA+ people in any region of Poland. They also produced the first magazine about LGBT+ mental health in Poland.

This is a life drawing and movement workshop exploring figurative work by black queer painters and photographers. The theme is Rest and Refusal and invites participants to challenge the binary between artist and subject by mirroring poses in figurative artworks with our own bodies. Through embodying the compositions and gestures of these artworks we will attempt to understand their sensual and energetic potential.

Under Your Nose is a documentary film by Veronica McKenzie, charting the journey of the groundbreaking Black Lesbian and Gay Centre (BLGC) in Peckham. The BLGC was the first centre of its kind in Europe.
The Batty Mama is a Queer Black and Brown organisation which aims to financially support Black and Brown Queer artists and promote their works. They host and curate performances, mixed media and multimedia events and club nights for Black and Brown, Queer, QTIPOC and LGBT identifying people.
