HOP TO THE EASTER MARKETS

A staple on the seasonal Prague market calendar, the Easter markets make their 2024 debut this weekend with over 100 stalls across Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Náměstí Republiky, and more. Browse traditional Czech foods and crafts, catch performances by artists from around Europe, and get in the spring spirit.

FIND NO SHORTAGE OF FOOD FESTIVALS

Travel your taste buds to Asia on March 16, where the Asian Food Fest will take over Smíchovská náplavka. Sample flavors from Japan, India, Indonesia, and more are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., all with free admission.

At the Festival of Delicious Tastes on March 17, switch up your culinary experience and indulge in flavors from Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, and more, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Novoměstská radnice, Karlovo náměstí.

JIG AND DRINK FOR ST. PAT’S

Don’t miss the huge St. Patrick’s Festival celebration taking place from March 15-19, where you can experience Irish culture, live music, pub quizzes, and sports at venues throughout the city center.

Caffrey’s, Dirty Nelly’s, McCarthy’s and Rocky O’Reilly’s will all be putting on a show, with no tickets needed - just drop by participating bars and enjoy the 5 day party.

UNCOVER BULGARIAN CINEMA

From March 14-17 at Kino Lucerna cinema, the 16th Bulgarian Film Festival will showcase recent Bulgarian films that have succeeded at other festivals. The program will include drama, comedy, and a special screening for children, with guests from Bulgaria attending to present their films. All films will be featured in their original version with English and Czech subtitles.

GET DOWN TO DISCO AND A DIRECTIONER

Hailing from Ireland and visiting Prague for the first time comes ex-One-Directioner Niall Horan, who has made a name for himself as a solo pop musician. Sing along to Slow Hands at the Fortuna Sports Hall on March 17.

Also Irish singer Róisín Murphy will bring her disco-infused pop to Forum Karlin on March 17. Best known for her work with Moloko and solo albums that blend electronic and retro sounds, Murphy will perform tracks from her acclaimed latest release, Hit Parade.

MAKE A SPLASH

The spectacular Waterland water circus will amaze audiences at Letná Park with daring feats both in and around its pool of water, now open until April 7. Featuring clowns, pirates, and magical illusions, the unique show creates a magical underwater kingdom brought to life by fountains, lights, and talented performers.

The Prague Waterworks Museum will hold an Open Day on March 17 to celebrate World Water Day. Visitors can tour the museum for free and see water pipes from ancient periods and part of a castle water supply system from the time of Rudolph II. There will also be hands-on activities for children and VR experiences.

BASK IN SPRINGTIME BEAUTY

Awaken your senses with art and flowers at Prague Castle. From March 7-17, the Empire Greenhouse within the castle grounds is hosting the Early Spring: Temptation of the Senses exhibition. Open daily from 10 a.m., adult entry is just 50 CZK.
