I agree, the seventies had the most extraordinary depth of superstar ever.
1.?Jack Nicklaus?- Nicklaus continued to dominate the sport of golf during the 1970s, winning six major championships during the decade. He won three Masters titles, two PGA Championships, and two British Open titles. Nicklaus was known for his consistent play and ability to close tournaments.
2.?Lee Trevino?- Trevino was a top golfer in the 1970s, winning six major championships during the decade. He won the U.S. Open in 1968 and 1971 and the British Open in 1971 and 1972. Trevino was known for his strong work ethic and ability to hit creative shots.
3.?Tom Watson?- Watson was a dominant force in golf during the 1970s, winning eight major championships during the decade. He won five British Open titles, two Masters titles, and one U.S. Open title. Watson was known for his precise shot-making and his strong mental game.
4.?Johnny Miller?- Miller was a top golfer in the 1970s, winning two major championships during the decade. He won the U.S. Open in 1973 and the British Open in 1976. In addition, to sixteen Tour titles including multiple victories and scoring records in the desert.
5.?Hubert Green?- Green was a top golfer in the 1970s, winning the U.S. Open in 1977 despite a death threat in the final round. He had a most unusual swing but won an amazing fifteen tour events in the 70's.

6.?Gary Player?- Player continued to be a dominant force in golf during the 1970s, winning four major championships during the decade. He won two Masters titles, a PGA Championship, and a British Open. Player was known for his strong work ethic and his fanatical fitness routine decades before such a thing was fashionable.
7.?Hale Irwin?- Irwin was a top golfer in the 1970s, winning nine tour events and two major championships during the decade. He won the U.S. Open in 1974, the Massacre at Wing Foot with a total of seven over par, and 1979. He would go on to dominate the Senior Tour for more than a decade.
8.?Ray Floyd?- Floyd was a very tough competitor, following up his 1969 PGA championship by winning five Tour events during the 70's, including the 1976 Masters with a record score. Floyd was known for his excellent long irons, precise chipping, and his strong mental game.
9.?Jonny Biarritz ?– With movie star good looks and charisma to match, Biarritz was amazingly consistent throughout the 70’s. He posted an entire decade of appearances in the top ten of the money list. However, off-the-course problems with women, gambling, drugs, the Yakuza, a crooked manager, and the yips conspired to keep him from winning a single?golf tournament during this period.
10.?Ben Crenshaw?- Crenshaw was an up-and-coming star with seven wins in the 70's. He would later go on to win two Masters.
