You have an idea and want to turn the idea into business.
However, you cannot decided what is the best name, who and where your client is, how you are going to set a website, deciding between leaflets or brochures, you definitely need business cards, etc. A little overwhelming? Probably.
Planning your business is one basic point on the very beginning and I am not talking about your business plan. I am talking about your ideas before your business plan.
What kind of products/services are you going to offer? Who are your customers? Are they online? Or do you need a shop in a high street? If you print leaflets, how are you going to distribute? Are you going to advertise on the local newspaper?
Walt Disney said "to quit talking and begin doing" but without thinking on a basic plan, it would be stressful to decide under so much pressure. You can see below ten basic points that will help you with an overview before start writing your business plan.
- Choose a specific audience
- Choose a specific concern / problem
- Write about solutions – find a solution, create a solution, create connections
- Create creative headlines
- Brainstorm - ask questions, suggestions, feedback, etc
- Positioning - create an identity and find your place in the target market
