10 Automation Tools You Should Be Using

Automation tools are too hard to learn.

Automation tools cost too much.

I will lose the personal touch that built my business.

I've heard all the excuses when it comes to not using automation.

I get it.

It's one more thing to learn.

But, we're living in the age of the Jetsons and you're doing waaaay too much grunt work.

Here's what I know:

  • If it's repetitive and someone else can do it, it's ripe for automation.
  • Automation isn’t about replacing humans; it’s about enhancing human potential and freeing us for higher-level tasks.
  • The right tech stack can be the difference between feeling swamped and sailing smoothly.

And better yet, here's 10 categories you should be starting with along with easy automation tools you can start using today.

  1. Cloud Storage - Mentioned as a place where team members can access data, with Google Drive suggested as an example.
  2. Content Creation Tools - Canva, Descript, Midjourney, and various AI tools like ChatGPT are mentioned for creating different types of content.
  3. Social Media Scheduling Tools - Buffer, MetriCool, and Hootsuite are mentioned for scheduling content on social media.
  4. Website Builders - Squarespace and Wix are mentioned as easy-to-use tools for creating websites.
  5. Email Marketing Tools - Active Campaign, Email Octopus, MailChimp, and Constant Contact are discussed for managing email campaigns.
  6. Scheduling Tools - Calendly and similar tools like Acuity and ScheduleOnce are mentioned for appointment scheduling.
  7. Video Conferencing Tools - Zoom and Google Chat are suggested for face-to-face meetings.
  8. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) - PipeDrive is mentioned as a CRM tool that integrates well with other software.
  9. Project Management Tools - Asana is recommended for managing projects and tasks.
  10. Payment and Accounting Systems - PayPal, Stripe, QuickBooks, and FreshBooks are suggested for handling financial transactions and accounting.

Bonus:

  • Integration Tools - Zapier and IFTTT are mentioned for connecting different applications that don't naturally integrate.

Oh yeah, I hear there's a cool podcast on that too

The days will pass whether you are learning or not, so why not learn a little every day? During the pandemic, I learned Microsoft Power Automate Desktop. It has made my life easier.
