As I sit down to write this article, I can't help but feel a surge of emotions. The past 12 months have been nothing short of transformative, marked by resilience, determination, and incredible growth.

A year ago, I found myself at a crossroads, ready for a new chapter. I had just exited Sista Girl Sign & Print, a decision that wasn't easy but necessary for my well-being and growth. It was a tough period, but it was also the beginning of something remarkable.

After taking some time to focus on my mental health and well-being, I was fortunate to have a supportive network. It was during this time that my current business partners approached me with an idea that would change everything. In August 2022, we registered Blak Line Industries, and by September, we successfully launched.

Blak Line isn't just a business endeavour; it represents our passion and dedication to empowering Aboriginal women in traditionally male-dominated industries. This past year has been an exciting journey marked by learning, growth, and pushing boundaries.

The challenges I've encountered have been plentiful, but each obstacle became an opportunity for growth. Throughout this journey, I've come to deeply appreciate the importance of resilience, determination, and the unwavering support system that surrounds us. We've faced legal hurdles that tested our resolve, yet these challenges only fuelled our determination to overcome them and continue our mission.

As I look ahead, I'm excited for what the future holds for Blak Line and for me personally. These next chapters are filled with opportunities to make a meaningful difference.
