The 1 Thing That Could Change Everything
When was the last time you used a pen for something more than completing a form or jotting down a few notes? With the exchange of emails and text messages averaging over 100 per day, it seems that the handwritten letter has become a lost art. However, the handwritten note could be the difference maker in your personal and professional life. Writing, in and of itself, has many benefits. 1. Writing a letter by hand is one of the few things (in life) that requires your undivided attention. 2. Writing strengthens your brain in ways that typing can't. 3. Whatever message you communicate will last longer. The careful attention it takes to write is felt and experienced by the receiver. These are just a few benefits to art of the handwritten letter. Even as I "type" this message, I am thinking of the next handwritten letter I will write. Will you join me? Will you commit to offering a handwritten letter to someone today? This week? This month? This year? This simple action can go a long way in the cultivation and creation of our personal and professional relationships. David |
