The 1% theory

The 1% theory

Before you start reading, I have good news for you, this theory is not about solving mathematical problems. Since I know many are not interested in math, I would like to explain that it’s a problem-solving theory, but definitely not for math.?

?The shocking fact about the 1% theory, is that growth, development, and progression can be done without much effort. Now, you may think this is magic, well, it actually is. Let’s explore more through the lines of this article.?

?There are some particular questions we may all ask ourselves and others from time to another, which are:?

?Is it okay to be demotivated for self-development? Is it okay to be uninspired for too long? Not learning new skills, language, or anything extra for a while? Is it okay to be the same person I was last year? Especially, in this fast-growing world??

?Well, it normally happens but it’s not really so okay if you are not finding a way out especially if you have been in your comfort zone for too long.?

?In this article, I would like to share a personal experience, that I have lately found out that there are approved researches on the same topic.?

?The 1% theory might be the key answer to the mentioned questions about self-development and daily progress. If you are way too demotivated to push yourself and achieve extraordinary results, take a look at the numbers below and let me explain more about them:?

(1)365?= 1?

(1.01)365?= 37.8?

??One to the power of three hundred sixty-five (the days in a year) will end up giving the same result without any difference even in the decimal numbers.?While one point zero one to the same power will be 37.8 times more than the achieved result in the first equation.?

?every day is 101% of the efforts you made the day before. Now imagine how can this 1% looks like over a long-term period.?Making progress doesn’t require you to spend 10 hours a day taking a course or learning a new language. You may take less than half an hour a day and achieve results much better than what you have expected.?

?For example, if you daily learn 10 French words, watch 5 minutes of a sales course, and 10 minutes of a digital marketing course. By the end of the year, you’ll end up with 3650 French words, 30 hours of sales course (which can cover a whole experience from beginner level to advance), and 60 hours of marketing knowledge.?

Now, after spending half an hour or less from your day developing yourself, you have learned a new language and gained 2 new skills in one year period.?You can set up a plan for 5 years period and may end up with 3 new languages and mastering 5 skills completely.?

?This 1% theory will sometimes push you to do much more than 1% a day and keeps you focused and motivated to do more.?We are not supposed to be inspired throughout the day, or even stay inspired for a long duration, we need to remain consistent to make our little efforts reflect on our lives. Consistency will make every positive action matter.?

?Remember, the thousand miles journey begins with one step.?
