I’m going to let you all in on a secret: the most important thing that’ll dictate your launch results has nothing to do with what’s happening in the world around you. It has nothing to do with the economy, the election, the pandemic or other outside stressors.
So, what is it?
It all starts with your energy. And as you probably know, it’s extremely hard to fake true energy. That’s why during your launch, it’s crucial to show up with your cup full. To show up as a confident and courageous leader. Now the question is, how?
There are steps you’ll need to take in order to take all the fracturing that happened this year, and put those pieces back together. How can you come to your launch with your cup full? When it comes to showing up with full battery, there are six key pre-launch MUSTS to take into consideration:
Have a food plan. Prior to your launch, you’ll want to make sure you’re prepped with high-protein fuel. Grab and go snacks, dinners you can make in advance and reheat in the oven, planning to have meals delivered – these are all ways to make sure you have a plan in place to fuel your body and feed your family without thinking about it too much during launch.
Have a sleep plan. You’ll need to plan a hard stop at night, and a definitive wake time in the morning. Burning yourself out will feed into your presence on camera. Everyone is different, so plan to give your body however much time it needs to rest and rejuvenate. For me, 8 hours is crucial. Determine what that sleep schedule is for you, and develop a plan to get enough rest. Failure to take this step will impact the energy you have on camera, and result in deteriorating sales.
Hydration. The vast majority of people suffer from chronic dehydration. Keep water easily accessible and plan to stay hydrated! Dehydration will lower your energy levels, make you less sharp, and will overall impact how you’re showing up.
Post-vacation and recovery. My entire company was closed the Friday after launch. Why? Everyone needs recovery. As an entrepreneur, it’s your responsibility to determine what you need your rest and recovery plan after launch to be to avoid burnout. Have vacation days off marked on your calendar and have blackout days for recovery.
Exercise. Depending on the time of your launch, figure out when your exercise block would positively impact your launch results. Is it most impactful to work out right after your live launch? Does it work best for you at night, or early in the morning? When can you strategically place those exercise blocks so that you’re getting high energy, fuel for the day.
Engineering. Make sure your posts, events, emails, and texts are scheduled in advance. Anything accomplished before launch week starts will have a massive impact on your ability to focus when you are in launch. Follow a day by day template, re-review any sessions you might need to get re-focused on, whether it’s positioning, buying triggers, emotional hooks or anything else you want to revisit.
Understand how much of your actual sales in launch will be impacted by all of these elements, and start implementing this pre-launch regimen for success!
