I`m sure that at some point, you`ve been frustrated because your ads weren`t performing the way you would like to.
It happens to a lot of entrepreneurs when they get started with Facebook Ads.
As you read this post, you`ll start to understand why that happens and what is the #1 secret to making your campaigns work like magic.
Let`s just start with this...
People don`t wake up in the morning, log into Facebook, thinking... "oh, I`m gonna buy something here today!"
Yeap... you`ve heard it!
Generic messages to everybody don`t build businesses.
Unveiling The Secret
People log into Facebook to have fun, to see what`s going on with their friends, not to buy stuff.
So your first step towards making your ads work is understanding this vital piece of information.
The second part is really where you have an advantage over every other advertiser out there.
Every master marketer knows this...
... audience temperature!
That`s right.
But what does that mean? ??
Let me explain...
In any market, at a certain point, you have 3 types of audiences:
- Cold audiences: people that don`t know who you are;
- Warm audiences: people familiar with your brand (i.e. Facebook page fans or people that have engaged with one of your previous ads);
- Hot audiences: your existing or previous customers.
The issue most entrepreneurs who try to build marketing campaigns run into is not getting enough conversions or engagement.
Of course not... they`re trying to put everybody in the same bucket. ???♂?
Big mistake!
As you know, Facebook is a social platform so people need to be approached in different ways at different times of the buyer journey.
Let`s breakdown some examples of marketing messages to help you understand how to target each type of audience:
Cold Audiences
"Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? I thought so until my friend mentioned..."
Your goal: educate the audience and take a concept they believe it`s true and turn it around (i.e. most people think breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you challenged that belief).
Assets: educational videos, blog posts, case studies, podcast interviews.
People don`t log into Facebook with the intention to buy stuff.
Warm Audiences
"Preparing quick and simple meals that get you full is now possible... get 100`s of vegan recipes you can prepare in less than 20 minutes"
Your goal: offer something of value, for example, something easily consumable like a cheat sheet, checklist or recipe book to move them to the next logical step in the customer journey.
Assets: lead magnets, coupon, book, free trial.
Hot Audiences
"Tickets for the Build Your Brand With Influence event are running out. Grab your seat while you can. 30% off if you book your reservation today!"
Your goal: this audience has bought from you in the past (i.e. coaching program) and now you`re offering them a higher price point live event.
Assets: live event, done for you service, high ticket offer.
The Game Changer
Understanding audience temperature is a game changer for you and your business.
Once you know this key piece of data, you can craft your ads accordingly and move people to the next logical step of the customer journey...
... and most importantly, not being frustrated wondering why your ads didn`t work.
The same generic message to everybody is not going to build you a business.
I`d love to hear from you...
