The One Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib

Small business owners and entrepreneurs...simplify your marketing, focus on your customer and build a tribe of raving fans by following Allan Dib's step by step guide.


Here's some of the relevant points that stuck with me:


The marketing journey is in 3 phases.


Before:  Getting prospects to know you and indicate an interest in your business/product/service

During:  Getting new customers to like you and purchase for the first time

After:  building a tribe of raving fans that trust you and buy from you repeatedly


BEFORE

Niching is important.  Without a target audience you’re talking to no-one and will only compete on price.  The race to the lowest price is not one you want to win. Choose your niche based on Personal Fulfilment, Value to the marketplace and Profitability.


Craft your message and your offers carefully.


Why should they buy?

Why should they buy from me?


Entrepreneurs solve people’s problems at a profit.


Focus on the RESULT you get for your clients. If you’re a commodity business, focus on giving a remarkable experience.


DURING

One source of leads is NOT a good thing.


Nurture your leads like a farmer - the money is in the follow up.


Resist the urge to discount - have a high ticket option.


AFTER

Make sure they know how to use/implement your product correctly.


Keep reminding them of what you do, up-sell and ask for referrals.


Your backstory is essential to building authenticity. Make sure they know the time and effort that goes into delivering what you do.


Build extraordinary systems as they help you deliver extraordinary service/products.


Know your numbers - where your leads come from, the lifetime value of a customer, your break even numbers and conversion rates.
