#1 Mistake blocking coaches from attracting clients

Helping coaches STOP using messaging like "unleash your potential" and "create a life you love" that only confuses people, and START speaking in a way that makes their ideal clients jump saying 'I need this!'

Chances are that you’re an awesome coach with a passion for what you do.?

But... getting clients so you get to do MORE of what you love – isn't so easy, is it?
?
The number 1 reason most coaches struggle with this is NOT that they’re invisible (although that could also be the case).
?
Most likely, they have a website.
?
And post on social media.
?
That’s?not the issue.
?
The problem is that they assume people GET what they do and WHY they should hire them.
?
Which brings me to...?

Mistake #1: Talking too much about coaching
?
Remember when you first discovered coaching and felt, "Wow, EVERYONE needs this"?
As a coach, it’s soooo easy to get lost in the craft and wanting to preach its power to everyone. (I'm totally guilty of having done this... ????♀?).

But here’s the thing:

Most people who struggle aren't thinking, "I need a coach."
?
They barely know why they struggle in the first place, let alone what the solution is!
?
When your communication is all about coaching, you're really only speaking to a tiny slice of the pie — to the 3% who already get it.?
?
They know they have a problem and that coaching is the fix. But the other 97%? Not a clue.?They don't even HEAR YOU when you talk about coaching.

Here’s a better way to find out what you SHOULD speak about:
?
1???Pinpoint the pain:?Get to know your ideal clients so well that you know the?exact moment in time?when they struggle. That’s how you build the case for why they need your help! (This is NOT how they feel, but the specific moment where what they're doing isn't working).
?
2???Tailor your solution:?ICF may lynch me now, but coaching is just a tool in your toolbox. What other tools do you have in there – and what can you CREATE with that toolbox? Show how your unique approach, with clear capabilities and features, take people out of their struggle (I often cover this in my workshops, check out my profile to see if there's anyone coming up soon!).?

3???Focus on the result you can PROMISE:?Talk about the direct tangible benefits of working with you. No fluff like “create a life you love” (can you promise that?) and no unbelievable promises like “get a new job in 90 days” (too much outside of your control).
