Design A Life That Really Matters

Small rudders move big ships.? ?

Have you ever sat in wonder at how massive ocean liners move through the water with such precision and grace? Despite their size and weight, these vessels are steered with a relatively small amount of effort applied to the rudder at the right time.

Our lives are like that, too.

Often we think making great changes requires monumental effort. And in some cases, that is true. But more often, the recipe for success lies in identifying tiny mindsets and habits that have a disproportionate effect and then applying them consistently over time.?

  • Walking just a few?minutes a day can do wonders for both your physical and mental health
  • Silencing notifications during times of deep work can increase your focus and productivity ?
  • Setting boundaries between work and home life, like setting a done for the day time,?can protect and deepen your personal relationships
  • Waking up 15 minutes earlier to take time to meditate, read a piece of good literature, or set goals you want to accomplish?can change the trajectory of your entire day?

Here's the lesson:

The right effort, leveraged over time, can lead you to new destinations.?

What is one small change you can make and commit to doing over the next seven days? What change do you hope it will make? Why is that change important to you?? ?

I’m loving this ethos that I’m continually seeing these days of small steps / small changes / incremental moves…. All points to the fact of just “do something” if you want a change, course correct as you go and just enjoy the journey. Great stuff

These list is very reaffirming. I have taken a couple of these steps even before I came across your post, Greg. Indeed, small, consistent, steps can lead to greater outcomes
