1 Mind-Blowing Fact That Sounds Like BS (But It’s Actually True)

1 Mind-Blowing Fact That Sounds Like BS (But It’s Actually True)

Here’s 1 mind-blowing fact that sounds like complete BS, but it’s actually true.

Honesty is the best policy.

I used to think that was total BS. Now it’s the subject of my upcoming book.

Let me tell you why it’s critical — and it’s an answer that took me 10 years to realize.

When you’re not honest with the world around you, with the others around you, and with yourself, you are misaligned with your reason for living and your biggest goals in life.

OK, so what the heck does honesty really mean?

Take something as simple as goal-setting. If you aren’t honest about what you really, truly want in life — no matter how big and scary your wildest dreams are — you can’t move forward towards achieving them.

In fact, most people set bullshit goals that aren’t what they really want to achieve. Then, 10 years later, they wonder why they haven’t achieved anything.

Trust me, that happened to me. Then, when I got honest with myself about what I really want, I accomplished more in 1 year than I had in the 10 years prior. Yes.

For another example, take honesty with others around you. Does everyone around you know who you truly are, and what you really want?

If they do, they will unwittingly help you achieve your greatest self. Seriously.

For instance, I once told a new acquaintance that I wanted to write a book. I was telling everyone, since I had recently discovered that writing a book was what I truly, honestly wanted.

Lo and behold, he was a NY Times Bestseller. He got me off the ground and on the right track towards achieving my goal.

That’s called LUCK — except, I could never have gotten lucky if I weren’t a) honest about what I really wanted and b) honest with people around me about what I wanted.

Read this carefully because it’s critical you understand this:

ANYTHING YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH CAN BE FACILITATED BY THE PEOPLE WHO ARE EITHER ALREADY AROUND YOU OR WITHIN 1 DEGREE OF SEPARATION FROM YOU.

That means you need to get honest — with what’s going on around you, with the others around you, and especially with yourself.

Do that, and you’ll be able to achieve everything you (honestly) want and more.

Thanks for reading!
