A pilot project that soon turned out to be the creators' favorite tool.
They recently reached 30,000 users.
And guess what?
They spent $0 budget on ads.
I talked with the co-founder Ivana Todorovic about their journey, strategies, and tips.

Let's dive in.
1. Understand customers' needs and provide value
Understanding your customers' pain points is the basis for your product.
Don't develop only on your beliefs.
Do proper market research before you start developing.
Ivana and her team didn't spend years developing the final product.
They developed the first version in 2 months.
Then published it online and went to the market to gather feedback.
2. Constantly improve based on feedback
Your customers are your biggest insight into what's working and what's not.
Pay attention to their use of tools and constantly ask for feedback.
Especially the negative feedback.
Users are usually honest when something is not working for them.
Based on the information you gather, you can build a better product.
3. The onboarding process is key to quick adoption
There's no point in developing a tool if users don't know how to use it, right?
That's where the onboarding process comes in.

Help them adopt your product as soon as possible.
Set up tutorials via email onboarding sequence, record videos about its features and how to use them, invite them to 1:1 calls, etc.
You only have one option to set up a proper onboarding process.
If you do it right, your users will become your biggest ambassadors.
If not, the churn rate will go through the roof.
4. Free tools can provide value to the community
When someone becomes a user, that's where the real journey begins.
Most of the companies forget about that and still use the classic old sales funnel.
It's outdated.
The new model is an hourglass funnel, which focuses on after-sales activities and nurturing.
Constantly provide your users with additional content.
AuthoredUp, for example, rolled out a free tool called Text Staircase.
They are currently developing more free tools that will be available for free not only for their users but to all.
Providing your users with additional value builds your authority and trust.
