What you believe about yourself is everything.
Whether you’re conscious of it or not, your beliefs dictate your thoughts, they define your actions, they shape what you believe to be true about the world and the people around you.
So often I have women come to me who are lacking confidence and they seem to have tried everything. They’ve been to the seminars, they’ve read the books, they’ve done the courses. They’ve even bought the freaking T Shirts!
And yet they still lack confidence.
So what’s the problem?
The problem is, they’re killing their confidence because they don’t believe they’ll ever have it.
They don’t believe they can be.. and so they aren’t.
It doesn’t matter what job you have, what size clothing you wear, whether you’re married or divorced three times, it ALL comes down to the belief you have in yourself.
So that begs the question...
What do you believe about yourself?
This will require some digging. You might need to journal and make time for some self reflection to find out what beliefs are lurking beneath the surface. Because trust me,
if life on the outside isn’t how you want it to be, there is something on the inside that needs to change.
I encourage you to take some time to sit with you.
Quiet your mind. Turn off the outside world and tune in to your inner voice. Because it’s trying to tell you something.
Somewhere deep inside, we all have a voice telling us who we really are. That you are more than your job title and the comments people make on your Instagram posts. That you are more than how you feel when you look in the mirror.
There is something in all of us that is far greater than we can comprehend and when we begin to listen to that voice, we start to grasp the fact that each and every one of us has value to provide.
Too often we ignore our inner voice. We don’t make time to listen. We let the inner critic with all it’s fears and insecurities take up our energy and attention.
So choose to listen. Dig deeper to find out what that inner voice is saying.
That small inner voice says you CAN do it, that you are capable of anything your heart desires.
It’s time to choose what you will believe. Because you get to decide whatever you believe about yourself.
YOU get to create whatever life you want.
I recently recorded a podcast episode all about this topic. Check it out.
