The #1 hockey trivia show in the world is set to go again this Saturday, Nov 12, for the Sens-Flyer game!

Hey folks! Just a quick thanks to all who have inquired about the health of my mother, Sarah Maguire. She has taken quite a downturn in the past few weeks and things looked very dire this past weekend. She's had a bounce back since then, we'll see how it goes the rest of this week. She is pain free and we're keeping her very comfortable. I do have a group message going out to family and friends, if I missed you or you'd like to be a part of it just message me privately and I'll add you. She's quite the trooper for nearly 92 years of age and as a matter of fact despite how bad it looked 48 hours ago she is drinking a beer at the moment lol....

A reminder for you hockey trivia buffs we are back at the Rideau Carleton Casino this Saturday afternoon for the Sens-Flyer game ( 1pm start time.) If you have not seen our hockey trivia game show get your butts out there and check it out. It is so much fun, we have swag, the bar will be open, the kitchen will be open, our first trivia game goes at 1230pm so come on out to the Joint at the Rideau Carleton Raceway and lets talk some hockey!!

Couple of hockey thoughts on our three Eastern Canadian NHL entries.

The Leafs look like they have figured things out, regular season wise. None of what they do during the 82 games matters anyway. they just need to get to the dance. From there we all know the history. If they crash and burn again in the first round the troika will be gone. Some say not a moment too soon.

I do hope Tavares keeps it going. I've been a huge fan of that guy for years. Especially since that pass to Eberle on January 4, 2009. What a moment that was. The Leafs are a good to very good team. I don't see them having a shot at the Cup at all but, that's why they play the games.

The Sens on the other hand what a disaster. I think they'll smoke Vancouver tonight and somewhat right the ship. Here's the thing; yes the pp can't go 0/5; yes it sucks Norris got hurt; yes it sucks that they have lost five in a row but the real elephant in the room that fans and the coaches are starting to see is the regression of Chabot. He has no shot, is not physical and lately has been a train wreck in his own end. All of the other ailments can be remedied but if their number 1 minute cruncher continues to struggle in his position this is a serious problem. A respite is coming tonight though for sure.

As for Montreal, wow, it has been a fantastic start to the season. Some said Caufield would not keep the hot play going. Some said it was a massive mistake making Suzuki the youngest captain in team history. They sure have given a big FU to all of those detractors.

Dach is starting to fit in. Slaf looks exceptional for 18. Totally right call to have him play the tenth game. Guhle and Harris are going to be stalwarts in a very short period of time and what about my man, Arber 'Wifi" Xhekaj known as 'jackeye' to you and I. He is the number one story in the very early going of this NHL season. Those players have been a blast to watch.

16+M comes off the books this year. A chunk of that will be used for the Caufield extension. Monty has looked not bad in net his last couple of starts. Zero pressure on the team right now. BTW right call on the Anderson suspension. It was a cheap shot, totally his fault. He did that because he was frustrated. Nobody else can score except for their 'big 3 - or 4 if you include Slaf' and you could tell the way he was running around right before that hit something like that maybe was coming. I'm not sure what Josh will say when he looks back on his career 15+ years from now. He leaves you wanting more all the time and he could be one of the top power forwards in the game. We'll see how the rest of his season goes.

Once we have a better idea on my mothers situation I hope to start pumping out some videos and maybe some podcasts for Liam's Hockey. Hope everybody is well. Chat soon. Gidday!
