The #1 Financial Stress For Dancers

Sometimes being a dancer is a thankless job, with so many struggles…

What is your biggest financial concern today as a dancer (or dance teacher/dance biz owner)?

I posed this question in a post on Instagram and Facebook yesterday, and some of the answers were heartbreaking!

Here’s why…

This breaks my heart because the answers from so many talented dancers and dance teachers consisted of things that should be normal, and easily accessible to all dance artists, but they're not.

Question: What is your biggest financial concern today as a dancer (or dance teacher/dance biz owner)?

"Wearing myself too thin with teaching gigs and still not having money left to enjoy or for short periods of breaks!”

"Consistent work. Also finding a solution to obtain an ample amount of income to live comfortable within my craft.”

"I am having hard time to organize my expenses (rental space, video, SM, etc) I feel overwhelmed and is taking away some precious time out of my creative work. ????”

"I’m trying to demand and stay firm on my prices. I’m worth it. I’ve already proved, been validated, certified and accomplished in our Industry. I’m looking for work that pays better for shorter hours.”

To be honest, you are not asking for much.

All you ultimately want is:

• More leisure time with your family, and to simply recharge.

This is not an unreasonable request, by any means!
