Truck of the Month

????September's Truck of the Month is the apple of our eye. This month we are highlighting South Windsor Fire Department in Connecticut. Their Walk-In Heavy-Duty Rescue joined the oldest fire department in the state, which was founded in 1969. The rescue is built on a Velocity? chassis and features Command Zone? technology.

"We chose to return to a walk-in rescue to accommodate our expanding special operations services,” notes Chief Kevin Cooney. “The ergonomic equipment storage allows us to access everything we need more easily with a much lower risk of injury.”

????We are ‘falling’ for Baltimore County Fire Department’s Ascendant? 107' Tiller Heavy-Duty Tractor Drawn Aerial, the October truck of the month! The truck features a 605 hp Cummins X15 engine and Command Zone technology.

"Pierce included us every step of the way when meeting our concerns around tip load, safety and ease of operation." - Chief Joanne R. Rund
