3. Positioning I&O for Environmental Sustainability (Gartner?)
As sustainability becomes a higher business priority, stakeholders are putting pressure on infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders to reduce the environmental footprint of their assets. Gartner? research however points out the challenge IT professionals face in meeting the sustainable IT objectives of the enterprise, due to a lack of universal reporting standards and guidance available in the industry.
To address this need, they have developed a model, ‘The I&O Sustainability Model’, which serves as a framework for IT professionals to plan I&O sustainability goals, further offering specific measures and recommendations to successfully execute the strategy at each stage.
