#1 Chips JU: Empowering European Semiconductor Industry
?? Last month, the European Chips Act entered into force, marking a significant milestone in the journey to strengthen the European semiconductor industry. A prominent outcome of this initiative is the expansion and rebranding of the Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking (KDT JU), which has now become Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU).

This initiative focuses on enhancing technological capacity and innovation in state-of-the-art chips and will drive forward progress in chip technology.
2.?????? Powering Innovation with More Investment: Chips JU has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing almost €11 billion of public and private investment. This means a broader scope of action and more substantial funding, all aimed at driving innovation and growth in the European semiconductor sector.
3.?????? Continuation of Research and Innovation Activities: Chips JU is committed to supporting the research and innovation activities previously funded under KDT JU. This ensures continuity and builds on the progress made in the semiconductor field.
