When we are juniors in high school we know that we have one big task ahead of us...The ACT or SAT.

We spend tons of money on finding a tutor. Whether that is a prep center or a private tutor. We happily hand over hundreds of dollars an hour to be in the hands of a professional. Someone that will show us exactly where to go to find the information we need, how to structure our answers, how to prep, and what to do so that we can get the best score we want.

We invest countless hours of our valuable time as well. We do this with the hope of achieving the highest possible score so that we can stand out for countless of other college applicants.

Now flash forward a couple of years and we are Juniors and Seniors in high school. What do we want? Either a summer internship or a job.

But now for whatever reason we try to conquer the search ourselves. We try to figure out where to apply, how to best do it, who to talk to, etc.

What ends up happening is that application just sits there. Your application becomes one our of hundreds or thousands of other people doing the same thing.
