074: We're backkkk! ??

Soooo... TikTok got banned in the US and then came back? There was some good content that got shared of people saying goodbye or sharing secrets that they were holding back about their content or other tea that they had. Whilst the future of TikTok is uncertain, trends will be forever, so lets do it! ??

?? TikTok Trending Videos:

• Since we're all gonna die, theres one one secret I have to share with you: This video/ sound has blown up especially with US creators who started this trend off the back of the ban. This trend showcases a secret that you are telling that no one knows or would be shocked to find out. Brands can also do this with their CEO sharing a secret or a way to show a sneak peek of a new collection or product. Some of my favourites of this trend are Haylee Baylee and Duolingo ??
• LockJAW: This video displays a situation/ trait that you cant help but really love. Creators have done this in regards to their ideal partner traits or physical appearance. Brands can also replicate this trend for traits that perfectly describe their business or product. For example: if your fashion brand creates signature dresses or if you are a food brand that is known for the best donuts etc. ??
• POV: me checking to see if...: This trend has been used in a funny to mimic college admission reactions but this is meant to call out a certain person or people. This person could be an ex, a high school bully, an ex friend etc. that you are checking in on to see if they got ugly, have stopped talking about you etc. Companies can do this to call out companies the dupe theirs or to see if that influencer finally posted wearing your product etc.

?? TikTok Trending Audio:

• crawling back to you: This sound and video have been blowing up to showcase someone or something that has a hold on you that you that you keep crawling back to. This one is a really sweet one for couples or friendships. ??
• hmmm hmmmm: This sound has gone viral as this is meant to represent your inner dialogue for any situation; the most common creators are doing this for is a soft hearted girl who has been through so much. Brands could use this from either a CEO or employees perspective when they get sidetracked or walk through the office. ??
• Ceechynaa – Peggy: This sound is the new BRAT! It is making everyone feel on top of the world and is the ultimate dance track. Brands or creators can use this as a backing track to any kind of video or have it as a lip sync or dance. ??

TikTok Is Available in the US Again After Trump’s Assurances

On Monday, TikTok has become operational again for most American users, after it was cut off late Sunday in accordance with the U.S. government sell-off bill.

As per Trump:

“I’m asking companies not to let TikTok stay dark! I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so that we can make a deal to protect our national security. The order will also confirm that there will be no liability for any company that helped keep TikTok from going dark before my order.”

Despite Trump’s assurances, Apple and Google have declined to allow TikTok back in their app stores, due to the risk of going against the legal wording of the bill, which could leave them liable for financial penalties.

As such, it seems that we have some way to go yet before TikTok is “back” as such. But it is more likely, overall, that TikTokers won’t have to find an alternative solution.

TikTok Adds Post Scheduling to Studio App

TikTok’s added post scheduling to its TikTok Studio management tool, which will make it easier to manage all of your TikTok posting and analytics processes in the one place.

To be clear, post scheduling itself is not new, as you can already do this in TikTok’s video scheduler, and via various third-party tools. So functionally this isn’t a major addition, but for convenience, and ease of management, it’ll be handy to have full scheduling capacity within the tool, which already provided the capacity to edit and update your scheduled posts.

TikTok Studio also includes a range of management functions, providing a complete overview of your content, including analytics and monetization monitoring tools.
