050: 60 minute uploads on TikTok? ??

I can't believe we hit 50 weeks of this newsletter! Things at TikTok are definitely ramping up as there are so many new resources and features being tested like 60 min videos and collaborations? ??

???TikTok Trending Videos:

• How do spell chauffeur? : This trend is showcases a moment where someone judges you for something that you do then you say the line of the song 'you fancy pants rich megee over here'. This would be great for brands to showcase the difference in their employees, for example: the CEO could say to the social girl 'how do I create a reel?' 'click create reel' then deliver the line. Also great if your a creator and have a niche this would be great as a storytelling tool. ?
• Sister Dictionary : This trend is all about slang in the friend or work group! I love this trend as it can be changed for each individual person or business. Beis did this trend really well! Brands can easier replicate this with their own staff as each business would definitely have their own slag.
• Things my __ did: This trend has made it's round on TikTok with now Chris Olsen now also participating in this one! This trend is all about things your ex did and you still stayed, this trend could also apply for brands. As a company you could use this trend for; things my boss said, that i had to explain or things my gen z employee said, that i don't understand etc. ??

?? TikTok Trending Audio:

• Million Dollar Baby: This song has picked up this past week across TikTok and even Instagram! People have used this trend to showcase the 'girlfriend' effect of how they 'glowed up' when they met their partner. This would be an awesome backing track to any video especially in slow mo too! ??
• Teenage Dream - Katy Perry: Anna Paul has helped make this sound go viral as people remember what a hit this song was! Add this song to any video whether it's you lip-syncing to it, or as an OOTD video. ??
• Girls - The Kid Laroi (unreleased): This one continues to grow this week! Everyone has already been loving this song and are using it as a backing track to numerous videos and let's just say this release is highly anticipated. ??

?? TikTok Updates:

TikTok Is Testing a Collaboration Feature for Posts

TikTok’s developing a new option that will enable you to tag collaborators on a post, which will then link their profiles to your post details.

The team from The SpAndroid also looked into the latest back-end code updates to find more info about the option, with the code elements suggesting that:

• Creators will be able to invite up to 5 other creators to make a collaboration post
• Users will be asked to approve collaborator listings, and will be able to decline those they don’t want to be included on
• Users will also be able to remove themselves as collaborators retrospectively
• Collaborator posts will appear on the creator and collaborator profiles, though only the creator will be able to edit the post
• You’ll be able to invite people to collaborate on a post up to four times each month.

The feature hasn’t been released as yet, but it looks to be in late-stage testing, which should see it arrive sometime soon.

TikTok Tests 60-Minute Video Uploads

Would you watch a 60 minute video on TikTok?

Evidently, TikTok’s confident that at least some people will, as it’s launched a new test of 60-minute uploads with some users.

The platform has been steadily increasing its video length limits over time, going from 15 seconds per clip at launch, to 60 seconds, then 3 minutes , then 5 minutes , before rising to 10 minutes ?in 2022.

Last October, TikTok began experimenting with 15 minute uploads , which it increased again to 30 minute clips in January this year .

But the key real question, as noted, is whether users will actually watch hour long videos in the app?

If you have been living under a rock, you wouldn't know Maddy but she has been getting up to some amazing things recently and I definitely think she is one to watch!

From going to AFW to also going to the Northern Territory to DJ she onto big things! She has worked previously with brands such as Spotify , Bumble and many more! SHe is a fun and colourful personality that would showcase your brand in the most fun way to her audience.

TikTok even used her to DJ for the TikTok Awards last year! Keep an eye on Maddy as she is just getting started!
