046: Hello Sharks ??

TikTok Notes are now officially here! (Australia & Canada) and it's an interesting to see how it will perform compared to Instagram. I strongly love have both photo and video on TikTok itself but only time will tell how this will play out! ??

???TikTok Trending Videos:

• Hello Sharks: This trend is basically pitching for 'the sharks' on Shark Tank for a random idea that you wish would happen or come true. For example; creators have asked for 1.5M to go on trips around the world with their bestie and in exchange they'll get all the tea, another one is for leg lengthening surgery and in exchange will be letting you know how the weather is up there. Brands could do this in such fun ways! For a small business this would be a great time to showcase an actual pitch but if your business is bigger it would be great to showcase that you need money for your product similar to what 35mm Co did. ??
• My Fig Tree: This trend is all about the different options or routes of life that you could have. Many people have done this with the different jobs that they want to do, other could do this with their favourite artists etc. Brands could do this with different products they sell or different aesthetics. ??
• But sir, she said: This trending carousel is a quick and easy one! With the dramatic music in the background, this trend is all about a moment where you are giving a ‘weak’ defence for something you’re on trial for. Some examples include; a sweet treat, a saying or something you're obsessed with. Brands can use this to show how customers are obsessed with their product or a common saying in the office etc. ????

?? TikTok Trending Audio:

• I can do it with a broken heart - Taylor Swift: With TTPD out now, Taylor is back taking over TikTok! This song and especially the line 'I cry a lot but I am productive' is what people have been using the most. Brands or even employees can relate to this line so bring out some EGC content for this one! ??
• Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter: This song is still all over TikTok and even more after Sabrina performed at Coachella! This song is perfect for a lip-sync moment or a cute OOTD. I can also definitely see a coffee company using this to advertise their 'espresso' ??
• Chihiro - Billie Eilish: This song has been used a lot more this week as fans go crazy over this unreleased song. This song would be great as a backing track to a GRWM or a situation that you would 'open the door' to. ??

TikTok starts testing its Instagram competitor TikTok Notes in Canada and Australia

The company said on X that it is in the “early stage” of the app’s rollout and that the app is “a dedicated space for photo and text content.”

“We hope that the TikTok community will use TikTok Notes to continue sharing their moments through photo posts. Whether documenting adventures, expressing creativity, or simply sharing snapshots of one’s day, the TikTok Notes experience is designed for those who would like to share and engage through photo content,” it said.

The screenshots on the App Store listing suggest that the posts will appear in two-column grids on the home page. The screenshots and user posts?also indicate that you can post multiple photos through a carousel post.

If you know Beginning Boutique, you would know Ivy Mullins, from starting out on TikTok with PR moves to getting her dream job and now she's off to London for her next big adventure!

Her content ranges from fashion, work and beauty, I'm surprised she's not bigger! For her move to London it would be great to see brands sponsor her through luggage, sending her minis samples for the plane or giving her some warm clothes for London winters!
