Happy Tuesday - you up-to-date kings and queens! ?? There are some great sounds this week and some cool new updates being tested!

???TikTok Trending Videos:

  • Uhmm...delusion?: This trend is a fun one! This trend displays a situation that you thought of in your head because you are 'delusional'. For example, 'so you're going to have a boyfriend this year?' 'You think you can still get Taylor Swift tickets?'. Brands can easily incorporate this trend in many different ways such as; when you think using a discount code means you basically are getting the item for free?' 'when you try on the outfit that you think looks good in your head' etc.


  • Side Eye: ??Just in the past few days, this trend has been gaining a lot of momentum on TikTok! People have been showcasing moments that other people believe to be true but really it's not. Creators have been really dominating this trend and I would love to see a brand jump on this one! When the beat drops you lock eyes with the camera and then go back into the moment - similar to the example. Companies can use this trend to their advance as so; 'You never have any sales', 'when you coming out with a new product and no one knows yet.'


  • I want to be defined by things that I love: ?No surprise here that Taylor Swift has created another trend. People screenshotted this line from the song 'Daylight' and turned it into a carousel with all the things that they love. This one is a really easy one for brands to replicate. They can use it to showcase their products and why they love them, their staff with a compliment and the list goes on!

?? TikTok Trending Audio:

  • Bad Idea right?: ? ?My personal favourite song at the moment! Olivia Rodrigo does it again with an amazing song! Everyone has been using different moment of this song in their own videos, mainly people are lip-singing over the top with their spin on it. Companies can easily use this sound over the top of any video or even recreate a moment themselves. ??


  • Telekinesis - Travis Scott (ft. SZA & Future): ?This song has gained massive traction over the weekend especially SZA's verse in the song which is said to be a reply to Drake's 'Marvin's Room'. ?? Creators have mainly used this song and lip-sung the lyrics but brands can easily take this sound and apply it to any video.


  • 1, she's a female, 2 she's not a boy: A lot of creators have been using this sound to relate to a situation on why they prefer females. ?? For example; 'why do you only accept compliments from women?' 'why are you watching the World Cup?' etc. Brand can do this to hype up one of their staff members, e.g. when they ask why having a female boss is so great, when they ask how are you so organised etc.



?? TikTok Updates:

TikTok Analytics Update - see when your audience double tapped.

When you click into your video analytics, head down to the retention rate and click the 'likes' tab - you can now see at what stage in the video your audience has liked it.

From this, you can collate the data and see if there's any similarities in the stage that people engage or if your hooks are working!

At this time, it looks like it is a beta roll out but hopefully will be rolled out to the wider community soon!

The guide also includes notes on how to incorporate these elements into your TikTok clips and also more specific notes on the types of ad options available in the app, and which is best for each type of business.
