0.1 efforts implementing AI

The capabilities of AI are so impressive that our enthusiasm and passion continue to flow abundantly. We, at Weagree, know that implementing legal tech is challenging. Then, why are we so enthusiastic? Well, in Weagree’s AI functionality, the implementation and the adoption of AI require almost zero effort.

ChatGPT is a medior lawyer

ChatGPT does a lot of smart thinking without you asking it: if you ask ChatGPT to retrieve the CLM metadata from any given contract, it will not act as a stupid robot, but seek the answer. For example, if a contract stipulates that the commencement date is “1 December 2023” and that “this agreement is for the duration of 24 months”, then ChatGPT will:

  1. Tell you that the Effective Date is soon (duh – that is a stupid easy one, even if the language of the contract differs from the answer you requested).
  2. Automatically calculate that the initial term of the contract ends on 30 November 2025 (no prompting needed). Yes, indeed, ChatGPT understands that it can calculate the request-prompted Expiry Date by adding two years to the Effective Date.

The examples of what ChatGPT can do for you are impressive. And yes, there is also some hallucination. It is good that in Weagree, every red flag, highlighted clause or metadata field provides the option to jump straight to the clause where ChatGPT thought the requested answer would be. Moreover, Weagree will also show ChatGPT’s explanation of how it came to the red flag, highlight or metadata value.

Nice, that AI does some self-thinking. It saves time. Maybe ChatGPT is even a senior lawyer, not a medior.

No implementation needed (??!!)

How is it possible that starting to use Weagree’s AI takes hardly any implementation effort? This is easy to explain. Two aspects:

  1. Prompts are ready to go. The key to obtaining adequate AI results is in providing the right ‘prompts’. In Weagree, the prompts are the Q&A-questions and Q&A-answer options you would already use for contract automation (i.e. if you were to create the first-draft). Those Q&A-elements are anchored in Weagree CLM and used as your AI prompts. Obviously, we will provide you the tooling to optimise the Q&A-elements for the purpose of your AI-prompts.
  2. A technical thing. Weagree has automated tooling to strip a Word-document, the first-draft, automatically from all kind of Word-clutter. After all, we have been in the contract creation business for more than 17 years: we know how to clean a Word-document. It’s s bit a technical thing but removing this from a Word-file is ‘a thing’ (and we do that automatically for you).

Essentially, it means that if you know what you would look for in a contract in connection with your business or industry (and have addressed this in your contract automation or in your CLM), Weagree will handle this automatically for you.

Weagree AI leverages your industry-specific experience. The zero-point-one (0.1) effort is in the fact that you need to activate Weagree Ai and upload two 'keys' (twice a sequence of some 32 characters).

Those Q&A-questions or CLM-fields are your AI-prompts. So, implementing AI is easy. It is so easy, and the benefits are so enormous, that your change management may succeed equally smoothly.

Is it secure (privacy shielded) ?

Rest assured, we have an enterprise-dedicated version of ChatGPT 4.0, hosted in the EU. Yes, indeed, we have found that one single ChatGPT 4.0 version that is located in the EU, and it is not a version that will look at your data (or where your data are being reused for further training ChatGPT). It is all for you!

And after the implementation, what will the future look like? Well, Weagree’s AI will automate the following legal work:

  • Automated contract review of the first-draft version received from your supplier, customer or partner (identifying the red-flags and negotiation issues, highlighting where what contractual parameters are stipulated in the contract (one-click jump-to).
  • Automated contract risk assessment (qualifying and highlighting the unacceptable or approvable clauses).
  • Automated data extraction (retrieving all contract metadata, if necessary, calculating).

Do you have a vacancy for a medior lawyer?

Yes, I have a vacancy
