008 Make a Big Noise!

Make a ton of noise until you are a huge success, only then can you level out?

In the book “The Art of War” Sun Tzu explains, “Though the enemy be stronger in numbers... Rouse him, and learn the principle of his activity or inactivity”. This challenges the competing army to think they are going up against a large army and to prepare that way by keeping them off-balance. The advantage?is the smaller army now has the competitive advantage.?

Similarly, as you start and grow your business, you want to make a lot of noise. Make it seem like you are everywhere, serving people, diving into new markets, and disrupting people’s patterns. In doing this, it makes it appear that you have a large team creating stability in the mind of potential clients. It can show you have a large purse of resources, which indicates you are a viable commodity. And it indicates that you are overall stable and will be viable for a long time. But how do you do any of this without creating imposter syndrome??

Program Your Future In Your Mindset?

Your internal dialogue matters more than your external voice. The very root of imposter syndrome is that your pursuits don’t match your actions and confidence. ?

That is the very core of what causes people to stop pursuing their success. ?

It took your whole lifetime for you to show up today. It will take longer than a decision for you to execute your plan in full. It will take time. ?

Here are a few steps to take to?program your path:?

• Create a vision of your future?
• Write it down?
• Outline the roadmap to achieve the vision?
• Create a Goal Statement for step one?
• Journal about it twice a day – or more if need be?

Create and Deliver Content Daily?

This is the key to appearing to have a large team. ?

The one thing I have seen from my own journey and that of my clients is how difficult it is to show up consistently. Your content is the high-level overview of what you do. ?

It is a daily commercial for how you can help your target audience. It is quite literally all the conversations you will have with a client along their journey inside your program. The first question you need to answer is: Where does your ideal client hang out? Is it LinkedIn or another platform? Write your content there. ?

It should include:?

• Who you are?
• What solution you provide?
• Who you help?
• Stories of results you helped your clients achieve?
• And a bazillion other things. The only specific formula is that there is no specific formula.?

Build Tools to Help You Show Up?

What keeps you on track? This is the best thing you can introduce your clients to because you know so much about it. ?

Did you create an awesome thingy-boby that helped you work out every day? ?

Package it and help other people work out every day. ?

Did you find a way to outline the way to achieve your goals in a systematic way? ?

Oh wait, that was me... ?

Or maybe you found a way to help people block out distractions and get more done. ?

Oops, that was me too... Sorry! ?

What have you done to create results in your life that you could teach another group of people? ?

• Define your secret formula?
• Outline the steps your took to create the solution?
• Write a short report about it (10-30 pages)?
• Build a small training around it?
• Sell it to others?

There you have it! Fifteen ways you can create more noise in your business and draw more attention. Think about this, if you could increase the trust that people have in your services by putting content into the world, would it be worth it to you? This is the primary reason why you want to create noise in the first place. It is not just about appearing to be larger or more stable than your competition. It is more about programming yourself to be larger and more stable than the You that created the idea in the first place. You need to drive yourself to your future, because no one else will.?

It is easy to get caught up in the business of making money. But it is more important to make money working in your wheelhouse. You will sell better. You will message better. You will prospect better. You will Utilize Your Time better.??
