#005 - Stretch!

#005 - Stretch!

Dear Thrivers,

We're slowly wrapping up 2024 - even if it seems faster than usual, but in 9 months, what have you birthed so far? I've been experiencing some level of growth, transitions, and disruptive moments. In this newsletter, "A Turning Point - Next Phase Please...," I will be sharing how these changes have felt, and spilling some truths you might relate to. Feel free to take some time to reflect on your life and the changes you would like to see around you.

Life is a circle and the dots connect backwards, revealing a pattern only visible in hindsight.

Have you ever felt like a phase in your life was ending, almost as if an unseen door was slowly closing behind you? Or maybe, you've experienced the opposite — a moment when your eyes were finally wide open, and a new opportunity stretched before you like a path you hadn't noticed before. These pivotal moments can feel like a portal opening or closing, guiding us toward new chapters, new decisions, and new beginnings.

Have you ever sensed a portal in your life opening or closing?

Think about a time when things shifted unexpectedly, or when you felt a pull toward making a big decision. Did it feel like the universe was nudging you in a particular direction? These moments often happen when we least expect them, yet they carry a feeling of inevitability as if everything before had been leading up to this very point.

Witnessing Portals in Your Own Life

I’ve experienced these shifts a few times myself. Each time, there was a distinct feeling that I had reached the end of a chapter. Perhaps I wasn’t aware of it right away, but in hindsight, I could see how the signs were there. The dots started connecting backward - an emergence of another full-circle moment. It wasn’t just about external changes — new roles/ jobs, relationships ending, a shift in my career or mindset, or moving to a new city. It was more about an internal awakening, like realizing for the first time that I could see my situation with clarity and make decisions I had been hesitant to make before.

Have you ever felt like you were seeing your own life with new eyes?

It’s as if the fog lifts, and suddenly, everything clicks. You know what you need to do. Maybe you’ve been stuck in a job that doesn’t fulfill you, but now, you’re finally ready to pursue something you’re passionate about or make you come alive. Or perhaps, you’ve been holding onto a relationship that no longer serves you, and you find the strength to let go. It could be a path you've always wanted to take and now you're no longer at a crossroads and the fog has cleared enough for you to see what's ahead, the potentials and possibilities you've been sleeping on. When these portals open, they demand action. They invite us to transition smoothly but with purpose.

The Excitement of New Beginnings and Endings

Right now, I’m standing at the edge of another portal. It’s exhilarating, but what’s even more thrilling is that two of the closest people in my life are going through the same thing. It’s as if we’re all standing together at the threshold of major changes. There’s something magical about witnessing someone else step into their transformation. I find myself not just on my journey but also on the sidelines, cheering them on, and being a part of their support system.

Have you ever found yourself in the role of a supporter during someone else’s transition?

Watching those close to you go through life-altering moments can feel just as powerful as experiencing it yourself. You see their struggles, their hopes, and their fears — and as they take those first steps into the unknown, you realize that, in a way, their journey mirrors your own. We don’t go through life in isolation. The transitions of those we love often resonate deeply with our own experiences, reminding us that life is a constant flow of openings and closings.

Embracing the Flow

As these portals open and close, I’ve learned to embrace the flow. It’s not always easy. Sometimes, we resist the changes because we’re comfortable where we are, even if deep down, we know it’s time to move on. Other times, the excitement of something new is tinged with fear — fear of the unknown, of failure, or of leaving behind what’s familiar. But the truth is, we can’t stay in one place forever. Life is about movement, growth, and evolution.

Are there areas of your life where you feel resistance to change?

When we resist the natural flow of life, we often end up feeling stuck, frustrated, or even lost. It’s in these moments that we need to ask ourselves if we’re holding onto something out of fear or because it’s truly where we’re meant to be. Trusting that the portal in front of us is leading somewhere meaningful can be a leap of faith, but it’s a leap worth taking.

Navigating Transitions with Grace

As I continue to navigate my transitions, I’ve realized the importance of approaching these moments with grace. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement or the fear of what’s next, but taking time to reflect, to listen to our inner voice, and to support those around us is essential. Each portal, whether opening or closing, offers a chance for growth — not just for ourselves but for those we walk alongside.

Mental Note:

How can you approach your next transition with grace?

Whether it’s by embracing the support of others, letting go of old fears, or simply taking a moment to breathe and reflect, navigating transitions with intention can make all the difference. After all, every ending is also a new beginning, and every closed door is an opportunity to step into something greater.

As I look around at the people in my life, I feel a deep sense of gratitude. We’re all walking through different portals, each on our path, but still connected. The beauty of life’s transitions is that they don’t just change us — they transform our relationships, our communities, and the world around us.

So, as you stand at the threshold of your next chapter, ask yourself: What portal is opening for you? And are you ready to embrace the light?

I wish you clarity, peace, love and light!

Cheers!
